Early main vid - Autistic cartoon chars - which are on the spectrum? (Ad-free)
Hiya boss 🙂 Thanks for your patience with this vid. I wanted to try and cover every cartoon character that was suggested as Autism-coded or confirmed. Even here though I still missed a few 😆 Hope you've been having a pleasant month and thank you 🙂

I’m on the spectrum, too, so this video really fascinated me! However, I have a few thoughts I’d like to share: I can actually see Bingo from Bluey being autistic. One thing that I relate to with Bingo is being non-verbal when people talk over me. This was shown in the Dance Mode episode, where Bingo kept getting her “dance modes” taken away from her and she had a hard time saying “no.” When she felt like people were taking advantage of her, she became nonverbal, having to rely on the Yes/No button. I can relate deeply to this. I feel that I get interrupted or hushed all the time and it makes me nonverbal too. I’m not sure if that’s an autism characteristic, but I can’t tell you how many times I would silence myself, even when people try to communicate with me. When I was in school and I got called out for talking at an inappropriate time, my mind told me to be permanently mute, even if someone were trying to ask me something, since I don’t want to upset anyone again. Also, two other characters I can see being autistic are Squidward Tentacles from SpongeBob and Elsa from Frozen. I think SpongeBob is most certainly on the spectrum, but Squidward to me had some similar traits that I have, like constantly wanting peace and to be left alone or struggling to fit in. As for Elsa, Frozen had many relatable characters, but I relate most to Elsa. I have really bad OCD, and in the 1st film, she constantly worries about accidentally hurting her sister Anna. I have really bad driving OCD and cleaning OCD. I also tend to be more of a perfectionist than I’d like to admit, and Elsa seemed to have that similar characteristic. We both struggle to express our emotions and struggle to reach out for help. I apologize about the long comment, but autism is such a fascinating topic and I wanted to share my thoughts.
You make some really good points, Coaster Fan. I definitely get what you mean with Bingo and his struggles with being verbal. I think Elsa definitely shows signs of generalised anxiety but I could definitely be convinced she has autism traits too. I think "let it go" is about her expressing that anxiety and how much she's struggled with it and wanted to let it go. I think that's part of the beauty of that movie and that song. Thanks for the thoughts! I appreciate your second perspective.
Howdy Strider! In the segment about Butters, you mentioned a few times how you "walked away" from South Park. Why is that? (By the way, season 27 premiered, and the two episodes so far are hilarious)
Hiya Egc :) It's a multitude of reasons. My concerns about some of the things the show has said, how it's glorified apathy unapologetically for decades. Take a look to the frame where I say I'd rather not talk about it today and you'll see I highlight the transphobia episode and the "d*che and turd" episode. I also show the America voting participation rates in 2016. It's a complicated issue that I may make a video about sometime but nowadays South Park bums me out. It's not a popular opinion but I simply don't promote the show anymore.
I’d like to point something out that I’ve noticed that tend to be a common debate. When an Autism Coded character has some serious trauma and are theorized to being on the spectrum (ex. Shadow and Butters) folks tend to argue against them being on the spectrum since the majority of what folks see is the traumas they’ve faced. As someone who has PSTD being on the spectrum I can see why because the trauma is more front and center as for the autism traits are much more muted as a result of the behaviors that are associated with trauma.
56:09 a video of you hiking in the forest sounds like a great idea
0:36 I can’t wait to see some of those characters in the video. 17:49, 18:53 holy shit that chibi you is so cute. 20:05 I never thought you would know about the toxic inappropriate sonic fandom and hoped you wouldn’t because I know you a really big sonic fan. 25:28 okay that is just hilarious. 40:35 Even though sesame Street isn’t a cartoon it’s still has a autism character that can’t be ignored. Sorry josh but I a little bit like watching the Big Bang theory and don’t mind Sheldon and I don’t mind the good doctor either. I’m excited to see the other characters that will appear soon when the video is done especially entrapta. I think I already told you I have autism myself before but I’ll say it one last time as someone with autism I really love to find any autism characters that I can relate to and i was diagnose by aspect when I was a child but I never got to know autism better so I kinda need to know autism better and also I think your videos about autism help a real lot
0:13 oh my goodness I mostly do that all the time when I get Oreos
Okay, now I have ask: Do you ship Sonally or Sonamy?
Sonally I think 😄
Just finished the video. I enjoyed it a lot
Hopefully I captured some of the details of your suggestion, Carl. Thanks for the great suggestion!
Hi Strider! I'm loving this video as a fellow autistic and was very excited to see SpongeBob confirmed autistic.
Love Butters as well! Very loyal and kept his innocence. Though wish he wasn’t friends with Cartman, but he is a good friend to him.
Always love to see Cartoon Characters who are going through similar things to me that I can relate to
