Planet X2 finally revealed!

So the first review is out!  By the way, I had no influence on this review, I just sent Modern Vintage Gamer a beta copy and asked him to review it.  I really wasn't expecting him to do such a great job on the video.   I will be doing a video about this on my own channel, but I'll be covering more of the technical aspects of it's development. So I really like this review he did of the gameplay.  It's probably better than I could have done!  I also sent Metal Jesus Rocks a copy, but he's out of the country at the moment.  When I get the rest of my materials in next week I intend to send 2 or 3 copies to a few other youtubers.

I would like to take a moment to mention that your support helped make this possible. I doubt I would have ever found the time to bring this to completion if I were still working a full-time job and doing YouTube at the same time. I spent most of 2017 working on this.  I hope to start another game soon, not sure what it will be yet or even which platform. I might make a sequel to this on MS-DOS or Commodore 128. I also have some other fresh ideas for other games.  I'm waiting to see how Planet X2 is received to help me decide.  I'm sure you'll see more polls here on Patreon to help me decide what to make next.

I ordered mine TODAY. I downloaded the Disk Image. Lets just say I had fun during my lunch hour. My co workers were stunned that this was a new game.

Good to hear. I haven't really gotten any feedback yet from people who have actually played the game other than just the one YouTube review and the 2 beta testers I had.

Looks like you've sold out! Congratulations! Are you thinking about a second print run at some point?

Sorry, just now seeing this comment. I wasn't sold out, I simply didn't have all the materials ready yet for it to be in stock. It is on sale now and they do seem to be going fast and I haven't even mentioned it on my youtube channel yet. So if you want one, now's the time.

I'm looking forward to playing this! It looks great, and the effort you've put into it is clear. I'm always glad to support C64 homebrew, and this looks like one of the better ones. I'm emulator-bound, where will I be able to buy a digital download? Is it going to be on sites like itch io?

I'm amazed of how the comoddore can deal with a game like this, only one thing bothered me, the ground texture sprite some times gives me something funny ont he eyes, is a little hard to see, wish perhas some of the dots of the sprite will be less bright to contrat better with the units.. but perhaps this happens only to me

It's a cool concept and I would to buy it. Sadly, I don't have a C64.

There is the digital download though... and with VICE you get much of the same experience pretty much everywhere you go with your modern laptop. :)

Very informative review. I am glad he spoke of the game play as the emphasis of his review. I am looking forward to ordering this. I don’t have a C64 but it’s making me want to get one.

I really like the box. Not just the box art but the build of it, it looks sturdy and old school. And it's packed with fun stuff. It's disappointing today that you get a CD/DVD/BluRay disk and nothing else.

Will there be a limit per order? I'm thinking Christmas presents!

No limit.. but I guess it never occurred to me that somebody would buy more than one copy.

Sort of reminds me of the old DOS Command and Conquer game with less detail. Makes me want to get a C64!

All of the final materials will be in on Tuesday (I hope).. at which point it goes on sale in the USA. It may be a few days later for European orders. On Monday, I have to mail off the finished floppies to Anders Jensen in Norway who will be distributing them there. He already has all of the other materials. Either way.. won't be long.
