You have to be careful with your kids. If you don't pay enough attention they might end up on the street, if you're too protective, they might start wearing weird clothes and casting spells.

Recently I've been spending much time on testing different filaments, and I'm still not happy with the print quality. The beige filament is unpredictable, sometimes it works great and renders great details, but it is also prone to random underextrusion. I tried a more expensive BASF filament, but couldn't get it to print as good as the first grey filament I had.

Speaking of kids, I like the idea of having some "non combatant/civilians" minis...
Yeah, I've found out that, with minis, retractions settings is often more important that anything else. Was upping my retraction speed and lowering distance to have the best results. Also, fow rate adjustments is your best friend... EDIT : Forgot to add.... with minis, as it use very few amount of filament, it seems that filament absorbing moisture is a more significant factor (filament brands and colors vary a lot with this...). I'm thinking if cutting the filament path between the spool and cold end of the extruder and using filament right from the spool could lower the unpredictable nature of some filaments ???
