1000 years ago
In Spring 1025 AD, possibly on April 18th, Bolesław, son of prince Mieszko from the Piast dynasty became the first ruler of the land that soon was to be known as Poland to hold the title of Rex - King. He did not enjoy that title for long, as he died later that year.
To commemorate this millennial anniversary I added a few new supportless warriors to the repository:
King Bolesław Chrobry (Bolesław I the Brave), wielding the Lance of Saint Maurice (a copy of the Holy Lance, the symbol of power in the Holy Roman Empire), given to him by young emperor Otto the Third in 1000 AD. Of course on your table he can be Undulf Ghrublak with Spear of Electric Shock or any other fantasy hero. There is also a mounted version.
Members of the king's retinue - spearman and axeman. There's a heated debate among historians whether King Bolesław's father, prince Mieszko was of a Nordic (viking) origin or not (like the rulers of Kievan Rus), most are against this theory, but there definitely was some influence where it comes to armour and weapons. The helmets and weapons in the models are somewhat based on the archeological findings near the sites believed to be seats of the Piast dynasty. That's why I named the models "Nordic", as it is possible that some vikings were in Mieszko's and Bolesław's armies. These have mounted versions too.
The shields are printed separately, to be glued to the minis.
Happy printing and thank you for your support!
Next: Monsters of various kinds.
REMINDER: the modular Space Knight riders will be removed from the repository by May 1st, make sure you've downloaded it.

hi, I am new and love your miniatures. I can´t find these in the download folder - how can I search for them and also the horses? I only found the pictures in the image folder from the horses?
Hi, they're in Older STLs folder under human soldiers
Is the separate pieces going to be a thing going forward? What we love most about Brite is that there are no extra glue steps or support steps, but lately, assembly is starting to seem like a thing. :(
Single piece prints are still and will remain the core and my favourite kind of models, and even when I need to break things up to achieve something more complicated I try to keep things as simple as possible.
Love the historicals! Very excited for these
Those look very cool! I'm very tempted/inspired to make a SAGA warband with those (once I have a working printer again)
