Poob is thinking of PRK laser eye surgery. This type of laser eye surgery is actually less invasive, but has a longer healing time. I have done this and I have had perfect vision for over a decade now. Highly suggested. Instead of slicing your cornea, they scrub the top layer of eye skin off and place a contact over it for a week until it heals. It sounds horrible, and it's irritating for a while, but it gets better, and you can have corrective surgery again later if needed.
