News From the Six Realms #99 - New year, same shit

Hey all,

Bit late on this and it's going to be a short one again, so lets get straight to it.

Work is well underway on the next release, and as I mentioned in the release post for the previous version, it will be a smaller one due to the knock-on effect of the last one being late. In terms of what it will contain, more epilogue content from me, and one or two of the missing sex scenes from Astarte, depending on how much Rein gets done. Art-wise, Sommy is getting on with the rendering now that he has the linework from MDN, and as always, I'll be sharing those with the backers when they are done.

We've also been making progress when it comes to pre-production for Act II. Sommy has already finished a couple of the new BGs, which are oversized and have bleeds, allowing for panning and dynamic zooming. He's also doing the concept art sheets for characters with their new threads for the second game, and they look great. We've also got a fresh new UI that will incorporate faction and other relevant symbols. Jr X. has been coding prototypes to test out the new look, and it is a big step up from Act I. Looking forward to sharing it with you when we are closer to release.

That's all for this time. As always was aiming for the end of the month, but it is tax season so I'm losing a couple of days to doing my books, and I'd like to give Rein more time if needed due to how busy he is with school, so it will probably slip into February. Will keep you updated as usual.
