10.07.2025 UPDATE:
Updated for the new tattoos system from the Businesses & Hobbies EP. Fixed and working now with layering options, color/transparency/etc sliders.
I also added an alternate version of the files, with them being placed in the head tattoos category for easier visibility during eye creation. I strongly advise you to only use these if you own the former mentioned EP, otherwise you won't be able to layer them like showcased here, as the EP adds the ability to layer tattoo items. Also, with the head version you'll only be able to layer a max of 5 items due to game limits. Still plenty enough for diverse eye creation, but I just wanted to point it out in case you really wanna go all out with crazy layering combinations to rather pick the older, regular version of my DIY kit.
You can only choose one version (either the regular, or alt head slots), pick the one you prefer. Both at once won't work.
Another update to this collection is the option for the base eye color to be a default replacement. This is ONLY ideal if you plan to redo all eyes as DIY for every one of your sims / townies / etc, or want them all to look ghostly without a pupil, I can imagine it works for occult based saves well. It's tricky for normal gameplay, but it's been requested in the past, so if you're one of these people, feel free to grab that version.
All base eye colors (Facepaint, NonDefault and DefaultReplacement) are now put into the attached BaseIrisColorPacks.zip, while the DIY parts are in the other packages.
You will need the Base + one of your preferred part slot packs to utilize the full creation process, if you only want to enhance your existing eyes with some effects, the parts packs will suffice.

Hey my lovelies!! FINALLY I have finished a huge project that I had already planned + started out months ago, and this & last week I have fully devoted myself to finish it, but IMO the time was totally well spent!
This here is my take on how the original eye creation in CAS already should have been tbh. I've been majorly inspired by the awesome character creation from the game Code Vein, and after I tried the demo, I immediately wanted something similar in Sims too. And with a lot of work, I actually managed it. It's also the nearest that can come close to the Sims 3 system of eyes, with the recolor options. But it's even better, as you can customize it and pick & choose all parts to your wishes, and I am really proud as it works amazing.
It's a set of 12 eye items all over, which come all in a TON of variations. With a ton, I legit mean a ton. All swatches over, it's 935. Today I tried to calculate the number of eyes that can be made with this set, it wasn't possible. The number was so long, I didn't even know the term for it. With all of these, you can do endless combinations of different eyes, create your eyes like you want them to, and also alter already existing eyes to your liking. Want your favourite pair to be more shiny? Use catchlights, for example!
I won't write more now, as pics speak more than I can explain, it's honestly really good. All that you need more to know is, that you can find the base eye colors either in face paint or as a non-default option where you find the original eyes too. All other items are under tattoos, so they can be layered with each other. For female + male, toddler-elder. HQ compatible, pics also taken with it.
I couldn't fit all options of the swatches in pics, so I've made a video instead where I showcased every option (except if I should have missed one accidentally while recording, it's my first video!), you can watch it here: >click<

When I use these in tattoos, my sims eyes get stripped and it makes it very hard to use.
hello! i cant seem to open the eye colors when you click my male sim's eyes.. but it works just fine with my female sim. it worked before i randomized the eyes of my male sim, after i got the eyes that i wanted, it never appeared again! do you know how to fix this? :(
hmm with the eyes nothing is wrong, i suspect there might be conflicts on some other ends of cc you might have if it only happens with one gender?
Would you consider making these available for the skin details section? I love them but I also want to give my sims tattoos. Thank you for all the hard work!!
probably not right in this moment, maybe some other time, but meanwhile you can very easily recategorize them yourself via sims4studio, i do it all the time myself if i want cc in another place :) and thank you sm!

I've been using this kit for a very long time but I noticed that the old version stopped showing up on the tattoos categories today, so I downloaded the most recent one (10.07.2025) and they still do not show up on Tattoos category :( Can you confirm if the mod is broken from the newest update, or if another mod is somehow causing this bug? Thanks!!!
hi, did you make sure to choose the right files? i have them split up between head category and body category files, the latter are the original ones, please only put one into your game! :) on my end everything works like usually. sorry to hear you're having problems atm!
Just to confirm if we wanted to mix more options than we should go for the regular slot version? The description mentions having the business and hobbies pack that it's advised to use that but then you added that it would only limit us to use 5 color options. That part confuses me so then we should not use the head tattoo if we want to use more options? If that's the case then why would we use the head tattoo one in the first place if it's limited or at least that what I think you were referring to.
yeah you read that right. i prefer the body slots myself, but i've gotten a lot of requests to put them into the head slot category, i made that option for people who wanted it, even if it offers less slots. choice is up to you.

I love this! But I have one question, are you using a mod in your video that prevents your Sim from rotating when you apply the eye pieces while tattooing and are you using a mod that allows you to zoom in on the face also while tattooing? Those are my only struggles while attempting to put the eye sets together.
No, I'm sorry, but that is sadly something that I struggle with aswell ;_; I once looked for mods but I couldn't find any, to this day I'm still hoping that some modder would make a mod that prevents the spinning. I always choose a couple of options, zoom in and then revert the changes to see them from the front.

I love all your cc, and was really excited to download the eye pack, but when I went to the eyes, it showed some of them, and wouldn't let me scroll down to see the rest, or even choose an eye shape! Has this happened to anyone else, and what should I do because I would LOVE to keep these in my game!!!! <3
You can download the more columns mod by Weerbesu, it's not only easier then to scroll thru all the CC but also more swatches can appear! And thank you sooo much ♥

Hello, this kit looks fantastic, but when I use the ones in the Tattoos section, my sim keeps spinning around when I click on a swatch (to show right arm, back etc.) Tbh, that makes it really tedious to customise the eyes. Is there any mod to stop my sim from spinning so that I can properly assess what I'm doing?
