2022 UPDATE:
After a suggestion here, I made an additional matte version of my Mannequin Skin. Works the same like the previous glossy one, and has the same swatches. Just in matte.
I also made an update of the glossy version, it is a completely new file ("Pralinesims_CostumeMakeup_Mannequin_SliderUpdate_Glossy"), it's not different from the previous one, but it's appearing much higher in CAS placement than the old ones. Redownload if you like, but don't forget to remove the old files from your mods folder.
2021 UPDATE:
This items works with the added color, hue & brightness sliders now. Redownload if you are interested in those, if you're only interested in the transparency slider there's no need to redownload, as that one also worked prior the update.

I've made these so I can neutrally present my CC, to focus on it without any distractions, a.k.a the sim, but I figured out that some of my fellow creators (and a few people who might want to play with mannequins) could find this item useful, too.
This tool works for almost all items, like accessories, clothes, hair, body or face presets, poses, etc... Only makeup gets covered up, but I guess most people wouldn't want to present makeup on mannequins anyways hehe. Cause this item here works like lacquer, or similar on sims.
It comes in 20 colors (10 greyscale tones from white to black), and some fresh and fun nuances. Also it has a very nice reflective shine, I really like the glossy effect and it makes the thumbnails and presentations neat and polished looking (literally, LMAO forgive me I love dad jokes). And it works for toddlers-elders, female and male sims alike, + HQ compatible!
Sadly it didn't work when put under skintones/skin details, as the specular disappeared then, idk why. T_T Anyways, you can find the item under costume makeup, where you normally find most of my eyes.

Helloooo I tried to use it but it's showing nowhere. I've taken off all of my mods out check and it is still not showing. I tried to use only one of the 2, but nothing either. My other mods are working thought, any ideas? Where is it supposed to show up exactly? In the makeup thing right? Edit: I'm using the EA app

yeah this is normal, cause the mannequin skin's main purpose is to show clothes off. you need seperate cc for your sim to not wear any clothes, those can be easily found on the internet
Hello there - Been using this for ages! You can tune the coloration so it fits a lot of things, from costumes to makeup. I've got my hands on a lot of great eye-colorations as of late, unfortunately, most of them are facepaint, too. Would there be a way to set the mannequin skin as something that isn't facepaint? I heard theres a problem with gloss-maps or something, but i'm not a modder myself, so i don't know.
you can change the category via sims4studio easily for yourself to put it into your preferred section! :) very useful tool. it shouldn't cause any issues, but don't forget that color sliders won't work without external mods on non-makeup categories
This might sound strange. But is there any way to get the shine without any of the color? Basically, I put this on my sims, then adjust the opacity, brightness and such until they look normal, but shiny all over. It sounds strange, but I put it on their workout outfit, and while in CAS they look like plastic, but in live mode they look all sweaty. I LOVE it, but trying to get the skin color normal is difficult. So I thought I would ask about it.

I love these! Is there a version that isn't so glossy? I've seen CC presented on a dark model that doesn't have the shiny dot on the forehead and under the eye. I can't figure out if it is a mannequin skin or an adjustment to the model in blender.
Thank you! I only have this glossy version available, if you want I can upload a matte version. It sure seems like it's either the standard blender model then or a version of mine with removed specular.

Your CC is so amazing! have you ever thought of doing another drag queen makeup set? because i know its kinda hard to find makeups that work well for drag queen sims and I think you have such colorful and pretty makeup styles that you would be so good at it!
