Broken cc + extra yapping & thoughts
06.04.2026 UPDATE:
The game has received a couple of hotfixes, and I can happily say that none of my CC is broken! Everything works without any problems, like it used to before the recent temporary CC shutdown happened that was caused with the marketplace introduction patch. I tested a majority of my huge catalogue, and nothing is affected thankfully.
So, if you have working CC of mine in your game, there's no need to download updated files. The only important thing is that you have installed the patch hotfixes that were provided officially :)
I'm also thanking everyone for your comforting and loving words of support! I truly can't express in words how much everything means to me. ♡
Hiii and long time no see 🫶 real life has been (yet again) super busy, many of my family members & me went through various health issues, with the most recent case being one of my beloved cats who has been really sick, not gonna lie, it looked grim for a few days, that period of time was awful, but she's thankfully finally recovered a few days ago. Now with things taking a better turn, I feel better & at ease to go online again & take care of my hobbies, not to worry constantly :) I hope I can get back to publish CC soon!
Ok, quick life update aside, but as many of you prolly know, the most recent patch (17.03.2026), the one that introduced the marketplace, has taken out A LOT of CC. Especially CAS CC has been rendered incompatible, and doesn't show up or simply looks broken, IF it does show up. I don't think there's ever been a more devastating patch so far when it comes to custom content. So with that in mind, and the cause being unknown why exactly the majority of CC isn't functional, I hope everyone can be patient with me & other creators. I don't know yet what the fixing process involves, nor when everything will be ok again, but with my huge assortment of CC it honestly might take a while. Please be prepared for that, but I hope everything will go as fast as possible.
There also has been a fix promised from the devs, but due to so many ingame systems changing, I am personally not even sure if all types of content will be able to so easily get fixed. Everything? A lot? Only some items? Dunno, time will tell. Again, because it's so uncertain, I will try my best once there's methods available.
Also speaking of the marketplace, a while ago I was also approached to participate in it, but ultimatively did not end up joining as it doesn't correspond with my personal values so far. I liked the idea of mods coming to consoles, honestly that was some kind of dream for me for everyone to be able to download & use my creations, but with the fact in mind that everything has to be paid for, it's not for me. Just wanted to offer a little transparency. I very much prefer to share my things free & available for everyone, with the optional possibility to support me if you like and appreciate my work & time I spend on doing + sharing my stuff.
Love everyone sm, and I hope our games will work flawless as soon as possible again 🤍 if you haven't updated yet, keep your auto-updates off in the app. This way you'll be able to enjoy your game without anything breaking.

i just got new laptop and havent played in years, but all your build items for walls, floors etc are the ?. Do i have to redownload everything for that stuff?
i don't know what exactly you mean? if you deleted your old cc folder, then yes you need to redownload
i still havent updated since march !! do we know that all cc is fixed and appears now in game???
yeah, everything that isn't obviously outdated (like mods that break often with patches, etc) all work normally again. that was a one-time issue which didn't need external fixes

thank you so much! 🤍 i use the cleavage overlay myself all the time, it never stopped working for me? did you try redownloading it? sometimes it can fix a simple issue :)
I was wondering if you've ever done a compilation of earrings that use all the extra earring slots in the game so that they can be stacked individually? If so, AMAZING! If not, maybe? I've loved and been using your stuff since Sims 4 first came out and I'd just like to say how much I appreciate your commitment to bring cc to everyone, not just the ones who can afford it! Just in case you were wondering, we in the sims community love you and think you're just as AMAZING as your CC! 😘

Hey girl, I love your stuff! But it's not loading in my game :( I have unzipped all the files and they're placed in my mods folder. Am I doing something wrong? I know you said it works with the latest hotpatches, but I literally have no idea what that means haha (I'm only just getting back into the Sims now after a decade of not playing). I this hotpatch something I need to maually download, and if so, where from? Thank you Xx
TYSM ❤️ and welcome back!!! the hotpatches are the regular patches you get via the ea app! :) did you enable mods in your game settings? super easy to overlook that, i do that myself sometimes too ngl!

thank you for reminding me, i posted an update on tumblr, but forgot to post it here aswell! but yes, everything works perfectly, the hotfixes thankfully made it so that NONE of my cc is wrecked, nothing needs to be updated :)
hello I Love Your CC creations your eyes are showing up in my game but the eye coulors are glitched and they are blocking my eye presents. I understand you are busy with your life right now but when you get time could you please tell me weather it's just my game or it is broken after the latest patch. TY! the hotfix should've fixed everything, no cc of mine is broken anymore. :) about the eye colors affecting presets, do you have the more columns mod? if not yet, it's imo a must! it expands the window. with non default eye colors there's only so many you can have installed until the box gets filled completely

I don’t trust EA and I’d be willing to bet $$ that this “issue” with latest update was done intentionally to try and force people to their marketplace. They probably got way more backlash about how it broke everything than they expected so now they’re backpedaling and saying it’s a mistake and they’re going to get it fixed. I’m so tired of these companies.😩
LOL i feel you. but rationally speaking, i don't think (or hope rather, lmao) that the broken patches were intentional, prolly a lot of stuff just went like completely WRONGGGG during the implentation of the marketplace, so many new systems got introduced, moved, etc, like i'm surprised there wasn't even more things permanently wrecked.... those updates really suck sm. even the option to play the game without permanently being connected to the gallery got removed!

Glad to hear your cat is on the mend can be heartbreaking to see your loved animal suffering and to be honest gladthat you aren't joining that marketplace I can't really afford to pay for different creators every month but have bought a post off people instead when I can but I think creators deserve all the money they make on a sale of cc not only having 30% and with ea being murky right now with the buyout just makes me want to avoid marketplace even more lol
