FAIRY EYE ADDONS!!! (plus other stuff)
I've refreshed all my maxis-match eye sets to be able to work with the newest updates, which broke occult eyes in several ways, so this one was of course also part of it. Almost all files have been recreated from scratch. While I was also at it, the organization method also changed, don't forget to delete all old files if you have them in your mods folder, as these here have new names (from N04 to -> N02)
With this update, I also added brand new Fairy additions (Enchanted by Nature EP), plus Ghost (Life and Death EP) swatches. Enjoy <3
08.07.2025 UPDATE:
Updated the DIY sclera + color addons for the tattoo category, they're now in face tattoos for better visibility, are layerable with other tattoos if you have the Businesses & Hobbies EP, AND are color slider compatible on top of it.
I also fixed the cat eyes, under super random conditions the whole cat became shiny (for me it never happened in CAS, but some select few stray cats were affected?) Anyways, weird bug, but I squashed it.
For the future I'm planning on updating the occult swatches once the Enchanted by Nature EP will release, the upcoming fairies will surely also have their own eyes, so the Dazzling Eyes will follow soon, too. Additionally with the most recent patch, there has been some changes with how occult eyes work for all sim states, these issues are a bit tricky and extensive to fix tbh, so I just wanted to say already that it might take a while. Please be patient while I'm figuring stuff out, occult eye creation / the fixing of it whenever it breaks is super demanding sadly :(

Hiya, I'm back with a new addition for these eyes!
Within the ingame Reapers' Rewards event, there was a new eye color unlockable, I've added a new default replacement for that exact eye. It comes in 2 versions, one with the classic Dazzling look, and another as a matte version, which is a bit closer to the original flat vibe, but still with my textures. Pick whichever one you prefer more.
Please note that for the default replacement version, you NEED to have the eyes unlocked in your own game, which was possible during the Reapers' Reward event from last year.
If you don't have those eyes available in your own game, you can always still use the facepaint version, which is fully basegame compatible AND also comes in a few more colors :)

Nah, but I'm serious, these eyes are literally for everyone and everything!
So, it's been years, and the Dazzling Light eyes still have a tight grip on me for my personal choice as default replacements, and because I still love them so much, I decided to expand them quite a bit!
These were initially created with the intent of being visually close to the plain ol' regular maxis eyes, but better and with some more expression. Gonna cite a part of my original description from 2019:
"I really love how expressive and slightly glowing from-the-inside they look, sort of like a magic crystal ball." - Yup, that comparison still stands for me. I've made sooo many new eyes since then, but even if I like to use my other ones aswell, these here still can't be dethroned after 5 years cause they feel so perfect for gameplay. Often I even forgot I had replacements in my game, because they felt so "natural". SO matching for the game, and normal looking, even on the worst spawned townie.
Enough with the sentimentality, here are the specs, new shiny additions, and more:
(Human) Bases & DIY addons, + extra gimmicks
Original with the 2019 release was the basegame-inspired palette, for the 2024 expansion I've added 45 new shades, resulting in a total of 63 colors.
The regular, base eye model of my Dazzling Eyes comes in default replacement, non default & facepaint options. Choose according to your preferences.
Default Replacement = replaces default game textures.
Non Default = appears at the eyes category additionally to default eyes, not replacing any textures.
Facepaint = under facepaint (makeup) category.
The non default package also comes in two versions:
Non Default comes with my color palette of 45 NEW shades. // Non Default (Default Colors) comes with the regular 18, basegame-inspired shades.
As I've split the colors up, you can utilize them in handy ways, depending on how you want the Dazzling Eyes in your game. If you chose the default replacement eyes, you can add the Non Default package, so the basegame eyes are replaced, but you also have the additional 45 colors, or use both ND packages if you want all 63 shades without replacing default textures

HETEROCHROMIA:
Under facepaint category.
The heterochromic eyes are to be primarily used with either the default or non default eye versions. Mix and match the colors to your liking!
// IMPORTANT: Please note that you can't use these at the same time with bracelet accessories, as I had to put the eye textures onto that space. It's a limitation within the game which I simply am not able to exceed, as there's no suitable area otherwise. Sorry for that.
DIY ADDONS: Color & Sclera
Under tattoos category.
These are some neat little playthingies if you want to add some more individuality to the eyes. With the color addon you can add a ring of color around the pupil, while with the sclera overlay you can switch up the sclera color. Have fun trying out some cool combinations!
Occults
Alien = 9 colors (+ an evil clone swatch)
Vampire = 1 neutral, 8 glowy colors with a custom emission map
Mermaid = 9 colors
Werewolf = 13 neutral, 4 glowy colors with a custom emission map
These come in default replacement, non default & facepaint options. Choose according to your preferences.
Default Replacement = replaces default game textures.
Non Default = appear at the eyes category alongside the default eyes, not replacing any textures.
Facepaint = under facepaint (makeup) category.

My very first complete animal + pet replacement set that covers ALL of the beasts! Let's pour one out for me for actually finishing this project, and not abandoning it forever ✌️ (idk if this is noticeable, but I'm proud of myself for finishing this full set and overcoming the procrastination...)
Here you can find default replacement eyes for dogs, cats and horses, all come in 9 colors which you can apply in CAS. The dogs and cats have heterochromia options aswell!
Additionally to the just mentioned pets where you can manually change the eye color, I've also included replacements for all of the animals that come with the Cottage Living and Horse Ranch packs, so they'll perfectly match your other babies!
Please note that you need the respective expansion packs:

Cats: Cats & Dogs (EP04)
Cottage Living (Chickens, Cows, Foxes, Llamas, Rabbits, Wild Birds): Cottage Living (EP11)

Oh, and I forgot: everything in this whole collection works for all ages and genders, except if a category may isn't available for one (example: there's no werewolf kiddies, so the werewolf defaults won't be there, cause it's actually not possible)

I always adore your extensive work with your eyes. Hell, I think you might've been one of the first CC releasers I followed way back when, because your accessories were so extensive. I play Maxis-Match and the eyes are so limited in-game and yours just... done so well! Like the comment below by Angel Art asking about the tagging! I always go into my CC to see about setting up any missing details/hidden in CAS/whatever I need doing and yours are just... no headaches at all. Just wow. Wish I had an income to tip the reaper so to speak but I just try to sing your praises so people know about you. Cheers.
Hey, super weird question, but are these tagged as their "close enough" colors for the extended palette? (Like, all shades of brown are "brown"?) I love these eyes so much and want to use them, but if it'll mess with the detective career of "perp has red eyes", then I might do the limited palette instead. I just need to know which one is best to download for that. Thanks for making awesome content! ^-^

These are so wonderful but it seems with a few eyes (particularly occult ones) that Im having issues with my sims disappearing when I use them
thank you! and idk why that is, but since a while, all new cc with emission maps (glowy parts) don't seem to work in directx 9 games, you have to enable directx 11 in the options and then it works without any problems. i am super sorry, i tried so many things out but i don't have a fix yet. :(
Hi! I love these eyes so much, but I have noticed that with some of the new fairy eyes, they make my sim completely disappear in CAS. It's only with a select few, so I was just confused!

These are so beautiful! Just something I noticed is the color add-on is located in the upper back tattoo, which makes hard to the see the face and color since the camera focuses on the back. Also, I can't remove the color add-on unless I do the remove all tattoos option.

hi I don't know if you do requests and I don't know how much work this is but is it possible for the Heterochromia face paint to be compatible with your sclera's or someone else's? Right now when I apply tattoo scleras or face detail scleras in cas, it only effects the eye that isn't heterochormatic. Thank you so much for all the work you do! :D Your eyes are my favorites!
TYSM! the heterochromic eye textures are mapped somewhere completely elsewhere from the original eyes to make them work in the first place, so there's no universal solution for them to make them work with every additional sclera textures. the ones i've made i might do addons some day in the future, but from anyone else's you'd have to edit them yourself to that specific place.
I love these eyes so much! I don't know if you take requests, but I play in both CC and NoCC saves. And I typically use the Non Default versions as they're easier to find and I don't have to remove them if I'm working on a NoCC save. Would it be possible for you to include Non Default versions of the Reaper Event Eyes and the Cat, Dog, and Horse Eyes?

<3 thanks so much! gonna paste my same answer here from previously bc almost always with cases like these it's the same thing: i did look into the files and i have not seen anything wonky about it, in fact i have this whole set permanently in my game and they do not cause any issues for me, i can perfectly save my game and load it. usually cc like this, ESPECIALLY default replacements of any kind, get broken if you leave them in your cc folder while your game does updates. if you try a clean new redownload of the files, that should fix the corrupted items and make it useable as usually again :)
I'm sorry, I found that replacing the cat's eyes results in a shiny square error. Since I only have this CC for my pet, can I ask if DX11 is not usable?
by chance do you use an eyeshine remover? this issue should not happen with the cc of this set
Dropping in on these comments to report a bug I have with the animal defaults when I use them on my chickens. As long as they are still chicks, everything runs fine. But as soon as they turn into adults on a loaded save, my game gives me the white screen after alt + tab and it won't go away. The game still works if I don't alt + tab, but the chickens don't come out of the coop after they age up. If try to load a save that already has adult chickens when I use the eyes, then the save game refuses to load. I'm not sure exactly how the eyes can cause this, but as soon as I took them out all of these problems were fixed. Bit of a bummer because I actually adore these eyes and I was looking forward to seeing the matching eyes on my chickens, haha. I haven't tested the eyes with other farm animals yet. Cats and dogs work fine, but no idea about the horses either.
i have the whole set permanently ingame and i did not run across issues like the one you mentioned, maybe your set of files got corrupted? this can happen randomly, and usually a fresh redownload fixes everything :)
Great news!! Since the update today made so many graphical improvements, I thought I'd give the emissions version of your occult eyes (which had previously made my sims invisible) another try on the off chance that the update fixed them and they actually work perfectly for me now!! I'm so excited! They look just as beautiful as I imagined they would! Thank you so much! For anyone else who was having the invisible sims issue, it might be worth trying them again to see if they work now.

I love the eyes, but I've run in to two things with them. 1. When my child sim pulled a tooth her eyes started strobbing through colours like a streamers RGB setup. 1b. This seemed to have fixed itself when I hit "Fix Tooth", though her eye colour would still change when she'd get a loose tooth. 2. The child of the above sim seems to have developed the "invisible" bug. After removing the eyes they were fine, but I think they break with the spellcaster occult. Edit: Downloaded the _NoEmission files for werewolves and vampires and this seems to have fixed my spellcaster baby. (He seems to have vampire eyes)
apparently the emission maps work for occults now, these were the main factors with them not working bc something directly in the game seemed to be wonky
These are so beautiful! I was blown away the first time I saw them in my game. It sucks that you ran into problems with the custom emission maps. (I've never seen eyes with custom emission maps before and maybe this is why.) I'm so sad I can't use the custom emission ones in my game because they do make my sims invisible but I bet they look so pretty. :( I did a lot of testing to try to narrow down the cause of it and didn't find one but I thought I'd share what I learned just in case any of it helpful. 1. The problem does happen with an empty mods folder and only your replacements installed so it's not a conflict. 2. I tried messing with graphics settings a lot and nothing I tried seemed to fix it so I don't think it's related to settings either. I think it's probably related to graphics cards or some other hardware difference, but that's harder to test. It also seems really similar to the game issue that made werewolves invisible when Werewolves was first released. I wonder if the Sims team maybe had made the same "mistake" and what they did to fix it. Thanks so much for these beautiful eyes. I love them so much!

makes my heart warm to hear this, thank you both a lot!!! <3 (i also loved working on the purple shades, especially of the second one in the last row i was SO proud i was able to achieve this shade, when i made that swatch i thought "wow, that's the best purple shade i ever made for any eye", bc it's a perfect blend out of pink and blue imo, with a bit more of pinkishness in the inside. so the purple shades getting noticed makes me extra happy hehe!)
