Preventable Diseases - Now Requires Core Library
Update 09/08/25: Fixed an issue where an interaction had a test inside a test, which caused LEs.
NEWS: NOW REQUIRES CORE LIBRARY!! Get it here: https://lot51.cc/mods/core-library
I've been saying that a lot, but Core Library has taken a lot of weight off my shoulders with this past (disastrous) update. There is still a script, which has also been updated, but it's only for the global trait element.
You can now set immunity traits for these diseases in CAS with Preferences using this new addon! Please make sure you read the requirements!
I am unaware of the status of SOL as of recent updates, so this standalone version is now just, well, the standalone for anyone to use.
You can make sims ill and immune using the Preventable Illnesses menu in the cheat menu when clicking on a sim. You can even reset immunity if need be. This mod is scripted with a global trait for automation in normal gameplay.

Hi Nate. I'm also getting an LE for this mod. Is there a preferred place to send them to you?
You can send it to me on discord, @nathan1373, just let me know you're sending the LE in the message so it doesn't get marked as spam by accident
I keep getting an exception " Exception during call to test method on (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'expected_kwargs'), CategoryID: resolver:121"
can you send the whole exception? preferably the mcle file?
i cant get rid of chickenpox with medicine. what am i missing?
Medicine won't get rid of it, but you can right click it with testing cheats enabled to get rid of it if you really want to
Does it work with healthcare redux?
There are no conflicts, but the mods don't have any interactions with each other.
I have the same question as above. How do sims get rid of mumps?
You have to wait it out, unfortunately, or cheat remove the buff. Both of these make your sims immune from ever getting them again.
So, I have a quick question if your sim gets mumps, how do you go about getting it treated?

Huge fan of your preventable diseases and anti-vaxxer mod by the way! And Chat pack and all of your smaller mods too. I really love the health related realism you bring to the game! I come from a family of doctors and getting to play with these things in game really brings so much depth for me :)
Wonderful Like I wrote on your "Postpartum Depression" mod I love the idea of this mod sooo much. Great done for us historical storytellers, thank you very much. I wish you a great new year 2020. Best regards from Austria *waves*
