Minor Update on 08/25/25 - A minor update to the Childhood Cliques to fix a mistake in its Core Library snippet
UPDATE (8/22/25) - The latest patch was pretty bad, so a complete revamp of what gets added via script and what can be added with Core Library to reduce future breakage. Global traits still required a script, so I remade the global trait adding script with the latest version of MC5 that was hotfixed for the patch. Childhood Cliques does not have any global traits and only requires Core Library; the old Childhood Cliques script should be deleted.

It's here, fellas! Tell your friends, tell your grandma, tell your dog! You can thank the DU patch for giving me some much needed tools for this mod to work. This is the first release, though, so even though I have made a lot of changes and testing, let me know if you have any issues so I can fix it quickly. Along with any issue fixes needed, I have some expansions planned for later updates :3
Teething:
-Toddlers will occasionally start teething
-The experience is painful and, depending on their traits, they will be either angry or sad
-Teething toddlers in pain have a chance of running a fever, which will also make them angry or sad
-Vampire toddlers have their own stronger moodlets when teething, so watch out!
Childhood Cliques:
-Children can join cliques by clicking on them and selecting the "Childhood Cliques" pie menu category
-The cliques are: Artsies, Athletes, Fashionistas, Goody Goodies, Troublemakers, and Weeaboos
-You can only join one clique at a time, but you could cheat to join more than one by adding traits in testing cheats, but, as it says in the name, that's cheating :p
-Cliques have their own interests, talents, likes, dislikes, and ways of viewing members of other cliques
-Older sims might have a hard time understanding what all the new "hip" trends with the kids are, but you might find some adults who will know what the kids are talking about!
Puberty:
-Teen sims will experience the awkwardness of puberty!
-Full compatibility with WickedWhims and SOL's period systems: You no longer need to choose which package version to use; SOL's period systems can now be tested for in just one loot.
-Extra tests are made for if your sim has the Gender Dysphoria trait by Marlynsims (here: https://marlynsims.tumblr.com/post/183143568135/the-sims-4-gender-dysphoria-trait-update-sims); that way there's no weirdness that would be unrealistic.
-You can use social interactions to influence how your sims might feel about certain aspects of puberty
-Sims who pee standing up might experience nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) while sleeping; this continues into adulthood. It's just part of life.
-Sims who pee standing up might also be called up to the front at work or school... at not the best moment
-Female teens might feel insecure about their developments
-Parents can give the puberty talk to sims age Child and Teen
Menopause:
-Adult female sims who are a week or closer to elder age might experience menopause symptoms like hot flashes and irritability
-Sims experiencing hot flashes can take cold showers and will occasionally change into their hot weather clothes. Known Issue: the Discover University patch has some weirdness about the hot/cold weather idles if sims don't have enough room to act it out; this is a game issue that you might spot more if a sim is having hot flashes. EA will have to fix this in a later patch, but otherwise please don't fret!
-They can also complain about hot flashes to other sims
-This continues until they hit elder stage
-Elder sims who have completed menopause can provide tips to sims currently experiencing menopause
*NEW* Midlife Crises!
- Adult sims can have Midlife Crises, wanting to do things like get a new job, find a romantic partner, or just buy more stuff
- Full Midlife Crises last about 5 days, but fulfilling desires (or just cheating away the buffs :p) has a 55% chance of giving them a hidden Survived Midlife Crisis trait, meaning they've accepted their fate of growing older.
- Sims who want to buy more stuff have the ability to admire items like a materialistic sim; this action is how you fulfill their desire for new stuff.
- Whims have been removed from this feature and may return as wants for the latest patch.

Do the days before age up for menopuase adjust depending on life span (long/short) or is it 7 regardless? Is it safe to modify that value for personal use? Is there a way to make it pass/end before aging up to elder?

Hey! I am this mod is showing up on better exception as invalid tunning. Will there be an update for the 6/30/26 patch?
Invalid tuning as reported by BE is harmless BE can be picky about certain tuning layouts and raises errors (usually about headline icons, or the little icons used in speech and thought bubbles) and in this case can be ignored I'm sure it's useful in other cases, but the invalid tuning named is functional and won't hurt your game

No, all features are intact The cold shower enabler script for hot flashes wasn't working due to a vanilla bug and was removed in a previous update but that's all
Hi! I have a question about the update. I thought it was okay to pick and choose which parts of the mod we'd like in game...I always have the toddler, teens, and midlife crisis parts. This time, after I updated I got a BE saying NateTheL0ser_MilestonesMod.ts4script\NateTheL0ser_Menopause.py [BE Interceptor] BE intercepted this error from a separate mod log so that it can scan for the issue. (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'min_lod_value') However, I don't have the menopause part of the mod in....I'm not sure what i've done wrong this time..
Ahh fiddlesticks I put in my combined script by mistake. For now you can put back in your old pick and choose scripts (not the cold shower one though) and you should be good. I'll have to reexport the scripts or something on my end since I forgot to redownload the mod from here before replacing the zip. That's my bad, sorry about that.
I've seen you updated your Mod in a Discord server, so I like all the features of the moodlets/buffs. Teething typically begins in babies between the fourth and eighth months of life. At this time the baby is called an infant. So consider making infants to start teething. And changing the angry moodlet with umcomfortable would be best, as it really is uncomfortable, very itchy and sadness is also true to that feeling when teething. All the other features are awesome, is this compatible with other Milestone mods, for example the ones from Simsefin? Thanks for doing this, this is what Maxis/EA had to do when they released all the packs, HSY, that Family DLC and Growing Together. They really missed out on that.
This mod came out well before we had infants, so toddlers were the closest to babies back then. The mod also came out long before actual EA milestones so there's nothing to do with EA's milestones system.

Delete all old files and replace the files with what's currently available There was a brutal patch that broke most scripts and required me to move to lot51's core library

I haven't seen much in reports of damage (so far the most needed updates are for simfilters which I don't believe are in any of my mods but I can always check tomorrow just in case), so my mods should be mostly unscathed. A bug that hasn't been fixed by EA has put a damper on my playing so I haven't tested quite yet myself though.
Is this updated for Life&Death? Also how many folders deep can I put in Mods?
This is compatible with the latest patch and should generally be just one folder deep at the most (so Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/Milestones is the deepest it can safely go)

Hi, I've loved this mod but doesn't seem to work with MCCC aging settings so have removed from my game. However, although I deleted the files from my folder the mod is still in my game? Any idea what's happening here?
Do you have OneDrive enabled on your computer? Sometimes it puts files back in after they're removed.

Unfortunately, this latest patch has left the game in a state where most if not mods will not work due to an EA bug (so many EA features do not work as well). In theory, yes, because the major part of mods that need updating (Group IDs) is not a problem with Milestones due to Mod Constructor generating only Base Game Group IDs for tuning made with it; however, an EA bug greatly hinders functionality due to buffs vanishing on load.

Having some trouble with this mod my toddler can’t ask for any teething meds am I missing something?
This feature is a part of Adeepindigo's Dental Care mod and requires both mods. If you have both installed, the toddler will need to have an active teething moodlet.
Has this been updated? I had removed it from my game before the HSY update but just tried to re-add it to my game and got a ton of errors, including one saying it crashed the MCC Command center. I'll move it to my hold file until I find out more. TY for all your hard work!

It can be triggered if you cheat the "days lived" for the sim but otherwise aging needs to be on
Hi- I have a question about time in the game and this mod. I play with aging off, so how will that affect play with this mod? I mean children will still age up, (so I guess that's when puberty hits, becoming a teen) but how does mid-life crisis, or menopause get triggered to kick in, if aging is off?
Menopause occurs when there are 7 or less days left in the sim's Adult life stage. Midlife Crises happen anytime when a sim is in Adulthood but they fade after a while.

Thank you for this great mod! Sorry for the nuisance, but would it be possible to change the menopause to sims who are about to become adults rather than elders? I play with super long YA phase and in my head most of my adult female sims can't get pregnant anymore. Menopause between the 2 age groups would match perfectly.

I love this mod so much! Thank you for sharing something that really adds to the gameplay in this awesome way. I was wondering if you would consider adding dehydration and low comfort buffs? I was thinking there could be an interaction from the parents to the kids, or adults/ya/elders to children and teens to sit down they are moving too fast, always on the go (low comfort kid/teen) or that they encourage the teens and kids to drink more water (low thirst) instead of sugary "juice".
Unfortunately EA's hidden thirst motive is very broken so I'm afraid it might cause more trouble for players if dehydration was present
