🌟 Devlog Update: Project Progress and Plans
TL;DR
It's all good; I'm not abandoning my project. I'm aiming to deliver a prototype for the "Fun" part of the game (Hentai Mode or how the f* should I call it) by the end of 2024.
More Details
Hello, long time no see. As you may know, I have a permanent job, other life commitments, and so on, making it challenging to find time for my project. But rest assured, I am not abandoning it. In fact, I am actively developing it and learning new skills. Creating a game solo requires being a jack of all trades: art, tech art, coding, music. Luckily, I've been interested in 3D modeling and music since school and work as a 3D modeler at a reputable game studio. However, I had to learn tech and tech art from scratch, so progress isn't as fast as I'd like. It's a constant cycle of learning and problem-solving.
Enough excuses, let's talk progress. I'm planning to deliver a prototype by the end of 2024 so you can try it and provide feedback. This prototype will include:
The HMode: The main feature of my game.
Customizer: A feature allowing character customisation, including clothing and minor body traits (not a full fancy character editor with extensive options like adjusting hip size).
What's Next? After receiving feedback, I'll improve the technical aspects of H Mode. Then, I'll start re-developing the visuals for the game and integrate them with H Mode, moving closer to the final release. All the work on this project will help speed up development for future projects.
After all of above I will draw my attention to Story Mode. More details later.
Why Not Hire Help? It's complicated. Any money I receive will be spent on a new house with a great sea view. Just kidding. Due to certain reasons, I can't withdraw any funds at the moment. Once these issues are resolved, I'll invest in development tools, voiceovers, and future projects. As I will have stable income, I will consider hiring coder. Damn, I will consider to go full-time for my projects even!
Why Not Find Enthusiasts to Help? I've had bad experiences with such teams. Everyone has their own ideas and priorities, causing delays. I want my game to reflect my vision, not be a compromise of different ideas.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks for your support!
