I'm scrapping live events
It was not my intention to create some sort of predatory FOMO system. Maybe I'll do a post-mortem in the future explaining why I thought a system like this was a good idea, but for now, I don't plan to go forward with these sorts of events.
The ongoing Halloween event will remain available as planned until Nov 11th.

Maybe go the Corruption of Champions route? Have the events pop up every {relevant holiday} if not previously completed?
best way to go about it honestly, so you can add holiday stuff that people can play even years down the line
Interesting, I thought it was a fine idea, just didn’t have time to play due to personal stuff.
I can deliver significant gameplay content through the server, so that's definitely a system I can use for all sorts of neat things, I just don't plan to specifically create limited-time live events anymore.
