Guys, I think we screwed up - Cort isn't going to be a Marshall and Speck's retort implies that he is starting too look at him as a Fed and not a partner
I don't think I ever expected him to be a Marshal. He has a starcaster, I think we would all expect him to be assigned to whichever division they are a part of (infantry corps, we learn in the previous page). Plus, given Speck's body language, he appears to be lounging and not particularly concerned at the moment, nor particularly aggressive or even passive aggressive. Maybe poking a bit of fun at Cort. There's no way Speck just turns on Cort after a day or few after the big decision.
Reading these patreon StarCaster pages is like eating 3 bites of my burger before they take the plate away. Noooooo......
Is there a typo in the first panel? Should it read "True. But then *the* starcaster..."

Don't they have some kinda red alert the warn everyone when they're under attack? Or, you know, the huge explosion on the bridge mighta alerted everyone too.
I think this and the previous strip were showing what Cort and Quel were doing in the moments leading up to the attack. I suspect we'll see all hell break loose for them next month.
