Cort looking not impressed seems to me being again his aversion to being controlled, and not feeling options are being given to him, but rather, non-options. That's my take anyways. Edit: But also, I see it as an appearance of determination. I want to think that he sees this as a challenge. To rise and show people who he truly is, that he's not just scum on the run from the law. He's made great strides recently with Nyrah in learning who he wants to be, and where his issues are, and what he could be capable of.
It's need that we, as the audience, can interpret it both ways. And the way the vote is going, a slight majority believe it is determination to prove himself.
Well Cort doesn't look very impressed, that's for sure. I doubt the Federation would try to attack him if he refused. The risk is simply too great, and this is one time they CANNOT afford to have another hostile starcaster facing them. But, clearly, Cort still doesn't have much of a choice, if the federation is destroyed, he can't avoid the Dranglex forever, and they would kill him, for the Starcaster, or out of spite.
The last line of the Trimvir was a huge mistake. Cort hates it being assumed that he is, as his father was.
Called it
Honestly, at this point the course is pretty set. Refusing here is like the mass effect 3 refusal ending: "Ok, we'll just kill you then." It's not really a choice.
Vote?!
Perhaps Tim wants us to discuss the option first before opening the poll - it is after all the biggest decision so far in this entire story…
and the ask...
