While attempting to land on Kol undetected, the Aphelion encountered a local law enforcement patrol. They need to disappear before the patrol can pull an identity off the Aphelion, flagging their location for the Federation to find.

Hopefully the update to the website happens soon where we can go ahead and just log into patreon from there and see them on the original website. Of course that original website still missing a useful archive so....

Shouldn't the 3rd option be "Exit the atmosphere, but then attempt re-entry at another point? I mean...it's a planet. They're pretty big.

Well if Speck says they don't have fuel, and the cops don't have an identity yet, losing them in the fog sounds reasonable. If it works.
Although it occurs to me not long after, with their luck, one of the cops from that patrol will walk by the Aphelion where it eventually lands and recognizes it.
is it just me or is reading these in patreon really difficult? its easier to follow the story from my inbox preview but then I miss to on the quality of the drawings.

Well, for the 49.99% of people who didn't want to go to the big city, this is the chance to jump away! :P
I just can't see how low-altitude maneuver will use LESS fuel. At the same time, this feels like Tim telling us to go into the fog.
I would have agreed, except the alternate option includes a jump. I don't have confidence in our fuel levels for a jump that also leads to fuel/repairs.
I trust in Specks pilot skills, but that patrol already had a visual, so they may well get identified even with the scrambler.
