More Movement | Status Report #11

It's time for a new Status Report. First thing on the list: I want to welcome all new and existing patrons. As you probably know, I couldn't make these games without your financial support. Thank you very much for helping me bring my fantasy to life. The next topic on the agenda is what I've been doing over the past month. And here's the answer:

What I've been doing:

First, I entered the planning stage. I took a look at 0.5, what's to come after it, and what came before. I listened to feedback and used it to identify some weaknesses in the game I want to address. Then I started brainstorming to figure out the next sex scenes and story scenes. This took me roughly a week, then I started realizing my ideas.

• More movement in the story:

  • The first thing I added is a few additional story events. Nothing big, nothing completely game-changing. But a few more actions that aim to give movement to the story and make it feel more like you, as the player, are in charge of the narrative.

  • This means several renders, some dialogue, sound effects, and every other minor detail necessary to create a scene in Ren'Py.

• Changes to the plot:

  • I also agreed with the feedback that the reasoning for not contacting the police was a bit too simple, and I went back and reinforced the plot to make more sense and be a bit less convoluted. In my opinion, a simple reason is always the best.

• New content:

  • But of course, I didn't just change old content. I also started adding new events.

  • I added a new achievement and slightly streamlined how some of the previous achievements are earned.

  • I wrote, animated, and rendered a new sex scene.

  • I wrote an additional sex scene and am currently in the process of animating it.

  • I wrote several small story events and rendered the images for them.

  • I added the next difficulty level in the work minigame.

  • I added a new clothing option, or the lack thereof.

  • I added a little event for the clothing option.

  • I added alternative, naked animations to the hangout for once you reach LL3.

  • I added the level-up event to finally reach LL3.

  • I added new hangout events.

  • And three new small-talk options as well.

And that concludes the list of everything I've been doing over the past month. Writing it down, I realize that it's a lot. And it has to be, because 0.6 isn't that far away from being released. When exactly will I be able to show you all these changes and additions? Probably sometime this month. All that's left is to finish the sex scene I'm working on right now and then do a lot of testing and run additional passes over the writing and playtesting to make sure the changes don't softlock anyone.
