Skills leveling system.

Hey.

As I see, my work causes you mostly positive emotions, so I continue to develop :)

At the moment I am working on the software base of the game. It includes such things as character control, its interaction with the environment, the system of dialogues and quests, inventory, trading system and other necessary trivia. And, including the character skills system. That's about what I want to consult with you.

Firstly, is it necessary in principle? As you remember, in the story Kara is a Jedi Knight, which means a character who already has a certain set of skills. Does it make sense to make them customizable and improvable?

Secondly, if the system of improvements is needed, then by what principle should it work? As you know, in games there are two basic systems for improving skills: the automatic increase of all skills when achieve a certain experience (as in online games) and the accumulation of experience points that the player independently distributes to the necessary skills. Which way do you find most appropriate here?

So your opinions please :)

Earning skills through events sounds good to me

As a player I like being able to customize all my skills but, from a role playing perspective, having a jedi knight be a blank slate would bug me. Personally, I'd like to either start with a limited number of skill points that we can use straight away and earn more later, or choose from a limited number of preset backgrounds, with different skills learned before the beginning of the game, and then customize her as we level up

I personally like a skill system you can customize (which isn't to much more complex than a set skill growth from a programming perspective) but would also add a standard growth option for players who just want the game without all the niggly bits that slow it down.

Some further thoughts on skills:

Sometimes fixed abilities make for more creative way of using them. Like her giving a blowjob and make a "suggestion" how mind blowing it is. Or when the man is ready to come a "push" on the prostrate to make the climax more intense. things like that make maybe easier it easier for you to write for.

Classic RPG design usually places the protagonist at the lowest rank to provide the maximum amount of character progression. I’d like her to start as a padawan with a vibroblade and no powers. Your first quest could be to find/build your first lightsaber & then choose skills that fit your play style.

Yes I know. Just hairstyles for this race more difficult to create, and therefore are not yet ready. They will be later.

Something I see far too little of is an actual adult game-oriented skill system: seductiveness, sexual manipulation (for bartering boosts and dialogue options, with boosts for wearing revealing clothing), sexual skills (oral, anal endurance, size tolerance (for taking those big ones gracefully), etc.), prostitution skill sets, and so on. It'd be awesome to see those included along with the regular RPG skill catalog.

Yes, everything is as planned :)

I think that because she is a Jedi Knight and not a Jedi Master, that still leaves room for improvement in skills. In a perfect world, I would love to see the player be able to choose at least to a point certain skills and perhaps to not improve others. As players are able to customize Kara's looks, it seems only fitting that they should be able to customize at least some of her advanced skills.
