When Conductor's beat came on in my car, I can't tell you how excited I got. I actually liked 7 Minute Drill as a jab back to Kendrick given that Kendrick kinda just jabbed him, but the 2nd half was really where it heated up. Of course, now this is all irrelevant, but I was feeling good about this being a really entertaining battle for a bit

idk if im trippin but on cole’s verse on “Pi” after the potential kendrick diss Cole goes into the sensei / karate rhyme scheme which connects it to kendrick who’s called “kung fu kenny.” Idk if that was obvious or not but love the chanel.

Kendrick picked a losing battle only because he chose to go at both, Cole and drake have been active, giving them the edge on knowing the sound the people want. And as we know the people who listen pick the winner of the battles.

Kendrick will respond, Cole will drop another album dissing more serious this time, Kendrick will respond again then Drake will drop his diss, and at that point Kendrick would have ran out of ammo, while drake hasn’t even started

He puts on a beat and has 7 minutes to write a full song. That just means this whole diss towards Kendrick was created in 7 minutes. Showing that Cole didn’t even take time to craft out a diss, and it its arguably a better 2 verses then Kendrick’s on like that (minus the shock value)

T Minus just explained what the 7 minute drill is, this just shows that Kendrick isn’t ready. The 7 minute drill is a tactic Cole used to sharpen his pen on his come up and probably used it to get reps up before he is about to write for an album.

One thing I love and appreciate about this album in relation to the beef is that Cole doesn’t go all in and show all his cards, but approaches it from a RAP standpoint, and dropped the album. He lets his skill and his work speak for him and that’s what it should come down to at the end of the day. Not shock value, not sales, not any of the other bs. He gave us 12 tracks of BARS. (11 if you don’t include 7MD, 10 if you not counting Fever lmao)

Loved the reaction! I think Cole played it as perfectly as you can with a warning shot knowing the relationship him and kdot got. But let’s get into some of these lines. I need to know honestly, no groupthink, how many of y’all listened to TPAB and not get bored or just thought it was a hard listen for an album. Because Cole’s got a point, I think everyone respects the album and what kdot did but how many of y’all go back to that album. The reason I bring it up is cuz Cole’s masterful for bringing that piece up cuz that’s always been the rumbling on the streets. TPAB when it came to being a perfect balance of lyricism and production, it was not it yet people call it a classic and even more the greatest AOAT, hence the “gassed it up” line hits hard. I don’t think cole is saying that album didn’t pushed boundaries but sonically the album as a whole is not it.
