What's next?

Now that NBP is completed the entire focus shifts on a new visual novel, a new story, new characters, new everything. As always everything across the board will be improved, learning from past mistakes and only keeping the good parts with a single goal in mind : deliver the best visual novel yet.
I find the story in this one to be refreshing and very exciting with a lot more possibilities and possible branching ways. But the story is not the only thing that's exciting, let's see what new features the next project will bring :
- Resolution increase from 1080p to 1440p for images.
- Post work improvements in photoshop.
- New "basic" stats with on screen clickable counter which influence the story as you go in a subtle but obvious way at the same time.
- Text images that display the current speaking character (you won't need to read the name of the characters anymore, you can simply see them)
- A more cinematic approach to sounds, effects and ambiance.
- Better characters skin with improved details for a more in-depth enjoyment.
- A deeper and more complex story line.
I was thinking of releasing at least half of the first Episode by the end of the month, so that all current Patrons can get a taste of the new game. However, I decided against it since it will put a dead line way too soon and I'm looking to add even more improvements by the time the first Episode is ready... Of course, as always, around the date of 15th next month.

Wow the improved images look great although NBP is looks good! I will miss the characters for sure. I wished it could carry on so we can find more out about the church and the new client etc but all good things come to and end. Keep all your work and maybe in the future you can come back to it, remake it or even do a follow up. Looking forward to the new visual novel! :D

Let's say that it's going to be a mixture of Dusklight and Pine Falls. A lot of things happening there
Looks great, gonna be exciting to see the new game, but maybe little too heavy of Depth of Field, the blurry backgrounds. 😃
Of course only some of the images are DoF heavy, where certain things are supposed to be in focus.
hello already at first glance the visual is really beautiful I would like to know will there be the French language? do you plan to be able to get pregnant in the story that you are going to put in place?
Yes there will be a French translation. As for the pregnancy, we'll have to wait and see as the story progresses.
Love the detail in the eyes and skin textures. Not sure if removing the names is a good thing. As someone who plays 100's of games/ visual novels; it can be difficult to keep characters and plots fresh in my mind. I am excited to see what you can dream up next.
They are not removed, they are still there but now there is an image of that character next to it as well.
Super excited to see all of the improvements you're talking about! I have really enjoyed NBP so far (not quite done with it yet since it's such a huge game!), so if you're improving even on that call me intrigued!
I totally agree, Iridium - Brian. I really like not only the sound of a fresh, flexible and more expansive storyline, but also the fresh look of these two characters. It's obviously a critical factor in this genre, but must be so difficult to achieve consistently. KuDos to DK. I'm also really glad that DK switched tactics and held back on the partial release.
