Poll - Relationship change in choice displayable?
Update : Poll no longer relevant, managed to add a suprisingly clean and efficient system to toggle the hints ON/OFF in the "Stats" menu.
Would you like for choices to display the stats they change in regards to relationships? There was a similar system in Erotica that used to show what choice changed what, that system was a bit broken so I decided not to implement it in Cursed Affection. However, there is a work-around for it where stat changes would be displayed below or next to the choice, but it will come without a toggle on/off button. Meaning that if we choose to show them, they will always be visible without the option to hide them.
Here are the examples :
Hidden (current system)
Visible (if voted)

Visible ! 馃グ馃挴馃憤
Can it be a toggle in an options menu?
Err towards visual, ideally make them optional. In game walkthroughs are all the rage it seems, and provides clarity to make the ending more predictable. But, it takes a little more work on the dev's end.
Hello, I didn't want to add an in-game walkthrough because it would mess up gameplay flow. There is a button in the Stats screen that links directly to a MEGA folder with the walkthrough, where you can then easily alt+tab it.
Neither, imo there should be an option in settings to toggle on hints or to keep them off, so it's completely up to the user and so you're not forced to pick either one
I'll try to modify the previous system and see if I can get it working properly, of course the best choice would be to be toggled, I agree with you there. It would be ideal if I could pull it off.
Hello, I鈥檓 the user who previously asked about The Infection ending on Discord. :) In my personal opinion, one of the strengths of your game is the way it provides simple hints. In many other games, even hint systems are often sold separately, but your game doesn鈥檛 do that. Because of this, I think it鈥檚 especially appealing for players who need a bit of guidance while progressing. Also, as seen in Cursed Affection, the hints don鈥檛 go as far as spoiling everything. They strike just the right balance鈥攅nough to guide the player without ruining the experience or reducing the enjoyment of discovering what comes next. That said, if there are players who prefer not to use hints, and if it wouldn鈥檛 require too much extra work, it might be a good idea to include a hint on/off option in the settings.
