Hair Add-Ons/Fixes (?) Project – Your Opinion Needed!
Hello there. I've had this idea for a long time, but I've had my doubts because I'm still not sure whether anyone actually needs this.
To keep it short, I love using Eaxis items, especially early DLCs considering that they becoming nostalgic to use over time. However, I feel that some edits could be made to fix errors that Maxis overlooked and/or to freshen things up a bit.
Deformation Fix
For some odd reason, Maxis decided to add morph dependencies to most hairstyles, and it just looks... awful? This is especially noticeable around the shoulders with long hairs as well. This thing has annoyed me ever since the game's launch and I find it ugly and unnecessary to exist.
Inaccurate Swatches Fix
Age Conversions
Maybe it's just my ocd, but I like having items available for all ages whenever it's possible...
Acc Recolors
Basically, it's just a recolor accessory for hairstyles... that come with accessories. I don't know why Maxis still hasn't added this feature, though I doubt they ever will at this point.
Mesh Fixes
Some of the early hairstyles suffer from extreme volume. It's like they were still mentally stuck in TS3 when they used to make hair like that...
Flipped Versions (not sure)
I'm the least sure about this one, but I just like having different versions of the same item.

The only ones I don't care about is the kids hairstyles and flipped versions. Everything else is a big yes
I'm all for the fixes for 1, 2 and 5. Especially 5, as I think the early hairstyles are good, but I never use them due to how large they are. And then the swatches being inconsistent across the board bugs me. So yes, I'd love the idea of fixing the issues mentioned in the post!

I love the idea! May I suggest that you create both an override version and an add-on version for the mesh fixes? I, for example, like the exaggerated volume of many of the game's hairstyles, but your version looks great too!

Yes, please! There are so many older hairs that I like but avoid because of the deformations. I'm also on board for mesh fixes!

All of them are great ideas, especially fixing the older hairs & making accessory recolors.
A 1000 times yes!! I would love to see your take on the original base game hairs, as some of them are truly hideous!
I love see age conversions, i use so many of your conversions, hairstyles/clothes, i glad you make them! Also flipped versions would be nice to see, that why i love many of Johnnysims hairstyles because they have flipped verisons!
I would personally love the deformation fixes and swatches fixes, some of the older hair definitely needs some tlc! I'd also like the age conversions but not as much as tidying up those old hairs!!! 😂❤
