If you want to watch the minimum required watching, I would watch S1 of Jessica Jones, then the Defenders, then S3 of Daredevil. If you want to go back and watch the other shows as well, more power to you; however, they aren’t as good and aren’t as integral to the plot of Defenders as Daredevil and JJ are. That’s what I did and I understood it all just fine (though I did know some info about Luke Cage and Iron Fist beforehand.)

I’d love to see you react to all of the Netflix shows; they are canon now. I’m even interested to see your take on Iron Fist. I’m here for Your perspective not mine. For order I say Jessica Jones S1 Luke Cage S1 Iron Fist S1 Defenders Daredevil S3 Punisher S1

Jessica Jones was great, and especially season 1 of that show is unbelievable. I think you really should watch AT LEAST Jessica Jones... And The Punisher. Luke Cage is decent, but I couldn't get into Iron Fist, but I never felt I missed anything. This is the curse of time. You have everything available, all at once (see what I did there?) and in this aspect makes your choice difficult, whereas those shows came out in a sequence and it was the only thing available. I mean, heaven forbid you have too much content. Lol

Yeah sure, just skip the majority of the MCU netflix story arbitrarily. Yikes man.

For some context to the people saying that Daredevil is the only Netflix Marvel show worth watching etc, here's the Rotten Tomato ratings for each: Daredevil: 92% / 89% Jessica Jones: 83% / 80% Luke Cage: 87% / 71% Iron Fist: 37% / 67% Defenders: 78% / 70% Punisher: 65% / 78% Yes, Daredevil gets the highest score from both critics and audience, but other than the critics panning Iron Fist, all the other scores are pretty strong.

Here come all the "I don't like it so you shouldn't watch it" brigade. There's a lot of that in the Daredevil fandom in particular. The essential show to see before Daredevil 3 is The Defenders. But that show in turn is made up of 4 characters who have their own shows. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. I always suggest to people, rather than "only watch the ones I like" or "watch them all or the world will end", that people start watching each character's show - at least a few episodes, and make your own decision about whether you want to watch each one. That said, I'm a big advocate for Jessica Jones - season 1 in particular is one of the best pieces of Marvel content out there - every bit as enjoyable as Daredevil. Highly recommended.

Jessica Jones is a sarcastic "bitch". I have not really watched it myself but you would like her Character. Luke cage (my favourite) is an emotional bad ass, corny but great characters and decent story, that goes in on the black community and struggles, hustles and criminality in harlem. Iron fist is a childish menace, good characters and a different and cool story. And punisher, well you see the other commenters…

Honestly yea just watcha recap. Jessica Jones is interesting and punisher is AMAZING but the others are eh.

All you really need to watch is Defenders. Daredevil season 3 opens up right after the events of that show. You’ll get introduced to Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. But I don’t think you’ll be lost if you don’t watch all of those shows.

Defenders then DD season 3. But you should definitely watch season one of the punisher at some point cause it's fcking amazing.

Luke Cage is my favorite of the Netflix shows. But if you go into it knowing you’ll see new people, The Defenders then DD3 would be enough.

As I see everyone is saying "just watch a recap". You can just binge like the Clone Wars Jessica Jones S1, DDS2 (which you watched), Luke Cage S1, Iron Fist (some say skip, I say it was alright), The Defenders, Punisher S1, JJ S2, LC S2, IF S2, DD S3, P S2, and finally JJS3. Personally I enjoyed the shows, even if some characters were boring or I just didn't care for them. Nothing like getting lost in a universe and discovering characters. I mean you've already watched every MCU show, even the controversial ones. Why not do the same for the Netflix shows, they are canon now.

Just do what I did, watch a recap video on youtube and then watch season 3. I've heard that the punisher is good but the rest are bad. Idk if it's true but it's what I've heard. Season 3 of daredevil is the best season and you only need a little bit of filling in to watch it, so that's my vote.

Everyone saying watch a recap, common, the show is good and furthers the character arcs of all the daredevil characters and its only 8 episodes. Sure its not near as good as daredevil season 3 but its worth watching and adds to season 3 enjoyment. Defenders is like daredevil 2.5. Also all these shows are canon to the MCU. Thats been made official from marvel studios.

Absolute bare minimum, if you don't want to get into all the other shows (i.e. Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, etc.), watch The Defenders, then watch Daredevil 3. The third season picks up where The Defenders leaves off, and you're gonna be totally lost if you don't watch it (since it's basically Daredevil 2.5). The Defenders is only, like, eight episodes too, so it wouldn't take you long to get through it.

Jessica jones is amazing. But if u wanna just stick with daredevil then the defenders then daredevil season 3. Daredevil 3 picks up right from the defenders. Youll be confused if u dont do the defenders. But jessica jones season 1 is the best show of that universe. Then after all that, the punisher

Whilst you DON'T have to watch The Defenders, it's highly recommended you do as Season 3 leads straight off from there plus I personally thought The Defenders was pretty good (minus Iron Fist)

Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are just as amazing as Daredevil imo. They all show up on each other's shows too. Everything except stupid Iron Fist is amazing lol.

Watch a season 1 recap of "the defenders" cause that show sucks. But will need the context. Then watch season 1 of the punisher and you're all good for daredevil season 3

Are you talking about Netflix? If that’s the case you have a few but not all of them are good, except Punisher. Jessica Jones was good for David Tennant and Luke Cage was decent but I hated the last season

Season 3 of daredevil picks up after the events of The Defenders

The Defenders has the context you need for before Daredevil season 3. That show is ok, but a summary video is really all you need to continue the story of Daredevil. The Defenders is a team up of all the Netflix shows. Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage with Daredevil. Could go down the rabbit hole with all the shows, but they aren’t close to DD imo.

Skip all shows but daredevil and punisher. Watch puncher season 1 then daredevil 3
