The Mandalorian | S3 E3 | "Chapter 19: The Convert" | (UNEDITED)

Hey guys!

We are back with some more Mandalorian!! This episode was actually fucking crazy! I loved the two storylines combined into one episode.

That sneaky little bitch working for Moff Gideon!!! I never felt good about her. She played our boy. That was fucked up! Urged him to continue his research, brought him to that Imperial plant, and then had the New Republic officers come and snatch him?!

AND THEN FREID HIS DAMN BRAIN!?!?!?

What a fucking bitch. I actually liked that doctor guy! I feel like his intentions were always good. He didn't want to hurt Grogu. I loved that about him.

This episode was wild!

Love you guys so much,

Alex

It’s in these really really bizzare parts of Star Wars, with things you are TECHNICALLY missing out on lore wise, where I would actually want you to watch the sequel movies. I cannot explain to you why because that would be spoilers, but most of Disney Star Wars shows have some kind of lore that is about making the sequels make an ounce of sense, lore that is going over your head as of now

As someone who has knowledge of what happens in the future, they seem really gun ho with dissociating with the previous rulers of the galaxy. Like what good does destroying Imperial tech do if it’s perfectly good? It’s like if you bought a business from someone and destroyed all of their stuff cause the old owners weren’t good people. If anything it’s more of a waste to destroy the stuff that can be good

Just remember, there’s still a lot of Star Wars to go thru. There’s the sequels, Skeleton Crew, Solo (2018), Ahsoka, 2D Clone Wars (the GOAT) the Acolyte (I fear for you then) and Star Wars Resistance (again I fear but not as much since it’s the most like a kids show out of the franchise)

i loved the concept of this episode but they made the new republic very stupid of how much they trusted even when continued working for the empire specifically being moff gideon's number 2 5 years after the fall of the empire

Don't be sad, be happy that you are closing in on Ahsoka

This is actually probably my favorite episode of the show (or atleast top 3) The Dr. Pershing stuff specifically. It is such well done classic dystopian/scifi storytelling. It feels like 1984 (my favorite book) and THX (George Lucas's first film) mashedup. I also like how it is handled tonally, it's more similar to Andor than The Mandalorian.

I love the question “what are we cloning”! Definitely keep thinking about that lol

i mean, thats a pretty simple and straightforward question isn't it? they're just cloning beings that have high midichlorian counts so that the ensuing clones are incredibly strong. palpatine cloning himself is a good example, as well as the clones of starkiller

To offer a small explanation, the New Republic is attempting to remove all traces of the Empire from their new government. They don't want the public to see them using Imperial tech, which was previously used to enforce Imperial rule. However, this is dumb. Just because it was created and used by the Empire, doesn't mean that you can't use it for a different purpose, or just completely reverse-engineer the whole thing to suit your purposes. In fact, the whole "Get rid of all things used by the previous government" thing is WORD FOR WORD what the Empire did when Palpatine first created it from the Republic. He used conscripts instead of clones, replaced the Venator with the ISD, swapped Republic Nu-class Shuttles with Military Lambda-class Shuttles (plus swapping out the LAAT with the gunship from Rebels), and turned Jedi transports into Inquistiorius Shuttles. In my view, the Empire is reborn, in everything but name.

this might be the most useless episode in all of star wars

Actually this one shows you why the New republic failed so spectacularly, and made it Certain that the "Empire" would rise again!
