I feel like this episode just answered 400 questions and somehow gave me 900 more 馃槀
Stan and Ford鈥檚 entire relationship is so much sadder than I expected. They were literally supposed to be inseparable, and then one fuck up completely destroyed everything. And Stan spending basically his ENTIRE LIFE trying to get his brother back?! Dude. That completely changes the way I look at him.
I was starting to feel super sketchy about Stan, but now I just love him even more.
I don't even know who I'm supposed to side with here.
And now suddenly the Stan we've known this entire show ISN'T EVEN STANFORD?!
WHAT THE FUCK MAN.
This show is actually fucking bananas, dude.

ALEX. I know you've been doing 4 episodes a week which has worked out, but next week you might have to do 5. Because the finale of the series is split into 4 episodes and that'll be the week after. Needed to tell you, unless you want to do the pre-finale alongside the finale in the same week. Either way, one of these weeks will be 5 (Do NOT split the Wierdmageddon series up between weeks.)
Cool tidbit. In the Journal 3 you can buy which is a physical recreation of the journal in the show, Ford talks about where he was all these years, his travels across the multiverse. Even shows the wanted poster he aquired at one point. And written in coad on it are the words: RICK WAS HERE Yes, canonically Gravity Falls is tied to the same multiverse as Rick and Morty. ^_^ And if THAT wasn't wild enough, it's heavilly implied (though not 100% confirmed to my knowledge) that one of Stan's failed marrages was to the witch Eda from 'The Owl House'. It was a quick Vegas wedding, but she stole his stuff and his car to make an escape. His car was recovered but she'd vanished without a trace. I always thought that the items flying thru the portals was enough to show that GF takes place in R&M, but that Rick sign legit took me out. I wonder if they ever ran into each other at some point. And that last poem bit is sick. I so regret my parents having me stay off the internet (it was my fault tho) cause learning these things at the time would鈥檝e been so cool
After you're done watching, you need to go back and look at all the hints and foreshadowing to Ford's existence. For example, in the Time Traveller's Pig episode, when Mabel and Dipper are jumping between times, the Stan you see in the cabin poking his head out isn't Stanley, it's Stanford. This series is incredible, I love it so much, and I'm so glad you are as well.
I鈥檓 telling u the gap between the last episode and this felt like months. To have my theories about a future Dipper being the author felt like a gut punch to younger me but I loved the reveal of Ford. (BTW, the way to tell the brothers apart is this: our Stan from the beginning is just called Stan, and the author Stan is called Ford. So they are Stan and Ford
In one of the Gravity Falls fan books, the writers were nice enough for us to show all the locations Grunkle Ford roamed for 30 years after Stan pushed him into the void. It鈥檚 meant to be read after the Season 2 finale since there鈥檚 so much hints for future episodes and there are so many beings that look normal but are very special in the journals. Grunkle Ford is so awesome.
