Mabel out here forcing love on people. This really is some Obsession shit playing out. There is no consent on either side! Fucked up!! Doesn't change how I feel about Mabel though. I still absolutely adore her.
I did really like the message though. You can’t force people into being happy just because YOU think they should be together. Sometimes you gotta let people figure their own shit out.
Super fun episode. Very different vibe from the last few, but I’m having such a good time with this show.

I'm guessing this is the least favorite episode because it doesn't really advance the plot. But I liked that it's tying up storylines. I'm glad Robbie wasn't left to just disappear from the show.
The difference between Mable and bear is Mable is 12 and bear is a grown man and it’s different because Mable has other people fall in love not someone fall in love with her she had pure intentions while bear made a very selfish wish

I don't know if anyone's said this, but 1. Once again, Alex Hirsch wanted to allow gay stuff in this episode. I think the old lady the love god made fall in love with that one guy was meant to fall in love with another lady in the original script, but once again, Disney was Disney about it. 2. It's revealed in the journal you can buy that the love potion is temporary, and thus I think it's implied Robbie and Tambry actually fell in love for real, and Mabel forcing it was just bringing them over that bump they needed to understand that. Still messed AF, and I think the explanation was made specifically so people weren't given the wrong idea, but it's nice to know.
i was gonna say its pretty weird were in a small town in oregon and theres almost no gay representation
honestly it was some obsession type shit but this time NEITHER had any say in it. In the Journal 3 book that was released does state the potion's effects wear off and Robbie and Tambry genuinely fell for each other later on but yeahhh 👀
You know it’s crazy how many animated shows pre Steven Universe had at least one episode saying “being gay is alright” and no one noticed till Steven started singing about Giant Women (Same Steven. Same)
Ironically this is like if Bear was honest about liking Nikki from the start but they still got wished to love each other. It’s Obsession but if it was made by Disney Channel, but peak Disney Channel
