The End of Oak Street (UNEDITED)
Hey guys!
I went into this movie absolutely blind as fuck and OH MY FUCKING GOSH!!! It was amazing!
I feel like this movie has gotten 0 love. Why? I have no idea why more people aren't talking about this movie. It's so damn good! A wild combination of a dinosaur movie mixed with some super bizarre sci-fi. To be honest, it's really cool seeing a dinosaur movie that isn't Jurassic Park or Jurassic World.
Don't get me wrong, those movies are amazing, as well. But it's refreshing to get something new!
Ahhhhhhh fuck yeah!
Love you guy so much! Thanks for letting me pick a movie!
Alex

"I want to adopt them they're so cute" My brother in Christ, they're eating a dead cat
just found the time to watch this reaction and my first time watching the movie. not the best time to be sponsoring cornell university after everything that's been happening there the past few weeks...
the first dinosaurs you see are coelophysis the "t-rex" is an allosaurus the "ugly" one with the car sequence is spinosaurus ( was in jurassic park 3 ) you were right on stegosaurus tho the ones that were doing it were probably camarasaurus The tortoises were probably carbonemys or any other kind of ancient tortoise big snake - titanoboa the pterosaurs ( flying reptiles, not flying dinosaurs ) were i think rhamphorhynchus, tropeognathus and pteranodon the crocodile looking thing was some kind of archosaur
i completly agree with Mel, its erritating af when neighbours allow theyr animals do what the f it wants
Not sure why but "early version of some kind of newt" killed me
Wait you know what the best combo in the world is, that means- Alex you dirty dawg 😂🤝
i think Alex wants a man in a tank top to start kissing his neck when he's playing with water balloons
at 1:13:38, i dont think Alex realized the dinosaurs were eating the cat when he said awe. it made me laugh.
Alex is going haywire that there might be two families while literally version B of Greg is standing there....
The thing with this movie is how dumb the family is. You are in a neighborhood infested with dinosaurs, and you don't thing to look around constantly to see if, I don't know, a T-Rex is creeping on up you?
“I take no pleasure in any other woman” unless it’s Velma😭😭😭
You should watch the last house on Netflix
I don’t thin Alex realized the 2 different Jeannette’s in the background of the final scene lol
I don't think you watched all the way through
If I had a nickel for every time Anne Hathaway was in a movie with wormholes, I'd have two nickels — which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Right?
Very enjoyable. Thank you for all you do!
If I saw this right, at the end of the movie there is multiple Jeannette’s bc when she went to find her parents version A of her would still be there! 😭😂
Greg didn’t go for the high ground and ended up on his last leg.
This was epic i enjoyed watching it with you alex
Ah Yes, the Crustacean Era, definitely my favorite era of ancient history lol
Fun fact: The majority of the movie is set in a not often used period in movies and shows. 200 million years ago Earth was just in the end of the late Triassic period, so majority of the dinosaurs we are familiar with were not present yet. That is why many of them are relatively small here. We can however see several species which did not exist in the late triassic, which could mean that the time displacement anomaly might reach farther than originally thought, pulling several species to one place and one time period. Species I recognized: Coelophysis(?): Feathered raptor-like dinos, late Triassic Allosaurus: Big T. Rex-like dino, late Jurassic Stegosaurus: Big plated dinos, late Jurassic Spinosaurus: The one with the big "mohawk" on its back, late Cretaceous Titanoboa: I don't think that needs explaining, early Paleocene (so after the dinosaurs' great extinction) Tropeognathus: flying one at the end of the movie, early Cretaceous Pterodactylus: Smaller flying dinosaur, late Jurassic Postosuchus: Dinosaur-crocodile-thing, late Triassic
more he try understand more i think of rick and Morty
its anaconda, and we have small ones...well small one can kill crocodile so( who desisted show dinosaurs having sex and poop on camera? its realistic but do you really need show that?)
I love this movie but hate the ending. It doesn't make any fucking sense. It creates a time paradox and the new Greg had no character development so idk if the family would've stayed together. But the fact that Jeannette went to save her family but her "B" version was still in her house so there's two of them now is hilarious to me.
these planks do nothing, might work on bad weather but from outside you can kick them easy, or hit it with head in this case
Anyone else catch the electrical fire that spread when the car got pushed into the house by the spino when all power is supposed to be out cuz ain't no way that car started it
Alex just looks away briefly when a dinosaur tail is moving in the background lmao
Movie is awful.
The TV show TerraNova, i think you would like
Hi Alex this premis as an UK Tv show called "Primeval" or something. Also "Terro Nova", those are some great pre historic time travel shows having similarities with this Terra Nova was canceled quite early afaik so just like one season. Primeval sadly ended at a cliffhanger due to cancelation, but had several really awesome seasons. But yeah there are series out there with very similar premise
The movie is awesome, some of the plot events were not well executed like the sister chasing after her brother without telling the parents or only saving Greg 2 but not trying to save the rest of the Greg2's family. Also what happens to Greg's 2 family without him as it would be interesting how that version of Denise would cope to Greg being missing in that situation as their relationship as we have seen is already strained. But all in all it was quite entertaining, definitely better than Jurassic World: Dominion
The movie kind of bored me until they killed off Greg. I was so surprised, so then I had no idea what else was gonna happen
Time for “Land of the Lost” Will Ferrell version.
Agreed but we have that show and it’s called sliders
This actually reminds me of a show where an earthquake swallowed up a bunch of ppl into the Hollow Earth millions of years ago with extinct creatures and dinosaurs
FYI Starbuck is named after a character from a popular 80's show in Battle Star Galactica
Yeah how dare he insult Cara thraces name (more of a 2003 show fan, but this wouldnt be here without the amazing OG movies)
100% accurate with the version A and version B. She stole her alt husband and sent her alt self and alt kids to die. Also without any of the people who helped.
It pissed me tf off how much they pretty much disowned Starbuck this whole movie😭 that dog stays inside no matter what tf is going on
you should watch "THE LAST HOUSE" its kinda like this but its where a family gets locked in side of their own house
Pausing just to say, he missed the chance to say "how big is aDino dong" at the mating scene
I can confidently say that I am, just like millions of people, in love with Anne Hathaway
I feel like this needed like 10 more mins of extra time to explain the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff
When I first watched the trailer I thought it was The Land Of The Lost 2 comment here if you thought about it.
Bro if you pay attetation you would know there is family B they literaly said that befoe meeting greb B
I really enjoyed this and I did cry in Cpl places. Thanks Alex for this movie and it felt like I was watching it with a friend 😊
she really saved her whole neighborhood except the alternate version of her family minus Greg lmfao
I’ve never had so many problems with a movie and still liked it. 1. Totally with Alex on the whole version A/version B thing. 2. The way they “boarded up” the minnows really bothered me. The daughter was able to pull off the single board “gaurding” the window with ease. 3. Ain’t no way Starbuck is out running a velociraptor. 4. I love me some Ewan Mcgregor since I’m a huge Star Wars nerd, but his American English accent wasn’t great. 5. What was the purpose of having the kid be a bully? 😂 just so we don’t get upset at him getting his ass kicked? 6. The dad didn’t have to die. It was frickin hysterical though. 7. The mom was a confusing character. She’s been wanting to leave her family for a long time then seemingly suddenly changes her mind for some reason yet she’s the hero? 8. Could be wrong on this but Jeanette being gay was the biggest “wait what?….ok I guess” moment I’ve seen. If she’s even gay, that’s just what it seemed like to me. 9. The boy thinking his stupid fuckin bow would do anything whatsoever. I know he’s young, but he’s not that young. 10. The wife leaving the father to hold the door on his own and the boy being able to hold the door closed vs a giant frickin snake. There’s some more but I think I got my point across. But like I said, I still enjoyed it somehow.😂
plus that bow was a toy bow. look at the flat limbs, it had a draw weight of most likely less than ten pounds. those areows wouldve just bounced off the dinosaurs
Fuck yeah! Didn’t know it went to streaming already. It’s definitely a top 10 movie this year so far.
31:00 nothing? sure :DDDD
Awwwww yeah!!! Version B, Denise and the kids, possibly could've survived their ordeal and found a different portal...which then could've sent them to a different point in time.
Missed the raptor in the reflection
When, I saw this comment before I really started and never saw it
Oh heck ye
LETS FUCKING GO I WAS HOPING FOR THIS! I LOVE THIS MOVIE
This is one of those movies I put on my list and may not have gotten around to watching it. This was a pleasant surprise in my feed.
What movie won the poll
i want watch this movie and you just upgrade it with you reaction
the family in this movie pissed me off idk why they just do
agreed lol
I thought this was ‘The Last House’ for a second 🥱
I hated that one. Eating a dog and no real closure to the plot. This one is at least fun and finishes the story
Uii a new Collection. You could add the alien movies and interstellar also to sci-fi^-^
Oh yes. I’ve been wanted to see this. Awesome. Thank u Alex. Will watch it with u later. I’m sick so a film in bed is wat im doing tonite with hot lemon with southern comfort in it
Most unrealistic part about this movie is a kid named Caden in the 80’s
lol true only between 5-10 kids a year were named that in the US for every year in the 80s
Wasn’t the biggest fan of this movie, thought it was really trying to capture the feeling of a 80’s/90’s Amblin film — but lacked any of the charm. Glad you liked it tho, and love that you’re staying on top of new releases! A couple more smaller films from this you that should be on your watchlist: Nirvana the band the show the movie, the drama, and hokum!
This movie is such a fun "don't take this too serious" movie. So many people online hating cuz it's not "accurate" but that's the point of this movie. Just turn your brain off and have fun
I mean it’s more accurate for the look of the dinosaurs than Jurassic word or park cuz of the feathers. But literally I was so surprised when I checked on letterboxed and two of the people I follow rated it a 1.5/5. Like HELLO!?
Great pick, didnt even know, this was out digitally
YEAH BABY
Aroo? 🐶
I knew it was gonna be this movie I just watched this last week
That’s fucking Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Elite ball knowledge (assuming youre referencing the graham Norton show)
Hell yeah, right as I sat down to watch something. Been wanting to see this
