Progress update and some musings
Hey everyone.
So as to keep everyone updated, I want to let you guys know that the full patreon release for v 0.2.6 is close to completion. All renders are in place, sound effects and screen effects as well, and I think there's maybe just 1/4 of the writing to be done. Meaning, we're finally back on our regular bi-weekly schedule! Woo-hoo!
With this release we'll semi-mark the end of the 2nd part of The King of Summer. I'll most likely make a v 0.2.7 for an extra scene, a few fixes and a re-writting pass to a handful of scenes, and then we jump straight into 0.3.0, with a few new characters to introduce and the final story threads to develop.
The 0.3.x updates will definitely be the longest, since I have a fair share of content planned for them. But my head is always thinking ahead, and I'm already planning out what I'll do *after* King of Summer.
I suppose I could, technically, keep the King of Summer running for a long time, but I don't want to milk this cow dry. Or rather, I do want to milk it, but only as long as the cow itself remains healthy, so it can then retire and spend the rest of its days idling the hours away in the nearby meadows.
All of that is to say, I want to keep making these porny-sexy games, and I want to make a lot of them and not just one huge nervending affair.
But The King of Summer won't be finished for a while, so don't start cancelling your patronage just yet.

I really respect your mindset, it's respectfull and honest, i like It! Keep running till It burns i like to Say :) really looking forward whats next!
So is part 3 going to be the final part of the story or are there more parts to come after? Keep up the good work.
Final-ish. There might be a part 4 with an epilogue or epilogues, depending on how long part 3 is. But part 3 will be long, definitely.
Hopefully the next game still has more ugly bastard ntr stealing the main girl from a character. It would be cool if we had a busty character like Mary going on a trip with their in-laws and the plane crashes on an uncharted island. The father in law steals the girl from the son.
I think it's generally a good idea to have a clear ending in mind for any story (the exception of course being intentionally open endings, but even those should be planned). I'm generally not a Fan of the whole Games as a Service thing either. I'd rather buy a complete Game, play through it, get the ending uninstall and maybe replay a few years later instead of having new content every 3-6 months. This here is of course something else, but I don't want the main story to be over only for you to introduce a new character we have no real connection to. Better to just start a new Game even if it's a sequel with Kendo stealing his neighbors wife or something. Just a new setting and new things to discover.
Thanks for the update. Personally, I hate waiting. Would prefer to see the main story of the game be focused on, wrapped up, and then you can add in tons of side characters and sexy situations to fill it out and keep people enthralled. Always a fan of games that respect player time and patron investment before stretch goals or padding sub time. My mentality is that if you do a damn good job with a completed work I'll keep paying to see more, even if you take time off inbetween games, even if you need to just chill for a while, ect. Finished games are the name of the game for me, or at least finished main plots. Whatever the case, looking forward to more, and future possible games. *Decided to pick up Koikatsu and give making my own NTR game a real shot from being inspired by yours* So keep on keeping on.
