Recent Circumstances

Hello everyone.

So... let me first start off by saying that I was really, really hyped to start releasing updates on a semi-frequent basis once more. Really hyped.

I had the drive, I had a plan, I had the time. I finally felt good about it. Which hasn't been easy, since it's been a rough year, to say the least.

But this year had one final "screw you" in store for me, apparently.

A big one.

So... it turns out, I live in an area that's not really made to endure extreme weather conditions. But it's also a zone that's not supposed to ever get extreme weather, particularly during this time of the year.

So when a huge tropical-like storm hit, with winds so strong they even caused a tornado nearby... well, things didn't go so well.

For my neighborhood, my home, and especially my home office.

So yeah, I've had to spend the last 1 or 2 weeks dealing with this whole mess.

The strong winds did some damage to the electrical grid of the place where I live, meaning we didn't have power for almost a week, and when it returned it was spotty, to say the least. This also affected my internet provider, so it was difficult to get good enough signal for a stable connection.

I could have send this message sooner, but I was waiting to see how things turned out, and it was still difficult to get anything to upload.

Things have thankfully calmed down now. I've managed to repair what needed to be repaired and it seems like things are going back to normal.

I'm very thankful to those of you who kept your pledges up, as the money has been extremely vital and lifesaving for me these past few weeks. Really, thank you.

Now... I'm reorganizing myself so I can get back to work, picking up the plans I had for 2 weeks prior. Once more, I apologize. These were special circumstances, but I never meant for my update schedule to get like this.

Here's hoping this is the last bout of bad luck of the year!
