Weekly Blog Post 10/18/2026 Introducing the new MC, Alissa
Welcome back everyone!
The work has progressed and Episode 0 of Velvet legacy is fully done! Episode 1 is where the game finally takes shape so the coming weeks will be very exciting for what comes next.
For now, we wanted to shine a spotlight on your new MC in the first VN Vignette. Alissa.
Since Velvet Legacy is more of a simpler VN than King's Fall, you get a more quicker flow and introduction to the game. Alissa, like The Hero, William in King's Fall has much to think about.
The game takes place the morning of her 18th birthday so the very tomboy, exciteable, and a bit stubborn MC goes around as you are introduced to the 10+ NPC's in the village. Each one has always treated Alissa differently so you get a first hand look at how Alissa sees the world while also remembering how that NPC arrived in town and became entrenched in her life.
Once Episode 0 begins, you get a very innocent look from her POV. She is 18 and barely able to contain her excitement that is now a young woman. But with it, she is also entering a time in her life where she needs to find out what she will do. Will she be an adventurer like her father? Will she marry and have kids with her best friend which is what her mother wants?
Alissa is selfish in that she would rather not think about it. On her 18th birthday, she just wants to be spoiled, praised, and see what life is now that she is a young woman. But once Episode 1 starts, you finally see that overnight, she needs to be an adult. She needs to focus and save her father who gave her everything in life. Her path as a Hero like William, starts when responsibility falls on her.
When a daughter loses everything, she risks whatever is left to truly lead her people forward. Or... She and her mother will be next.
Join us next week as we begin to show off how the actual game is like. Stuff like Items, Quests, and Perks you need in order to fight The Elf Lord and save Alissa's father. Because if you don't... He will die and it'll be your fault.
