Introducing: B-Chan's Vignettes and Velvet Legacy
Welcome in everyone because today... We have a grand announcement.
After two months of working on our new VN Engine, we are finally getting ready to release our 1st, OG VN titled as Velvet Legacy!
In a new era for BGE, we are starting a series of new games simply called Vignettes. Our new mascot, B-Chan, will be the face of our games as she guides you all into new stories of love, corruption, and more!
The VN Engine has finally gotten the depth needed that we are glad to announce that at the end of November, 2026, Velvet Legacy will release with Episodes 0 and 1 in a content complete state!
What is Velvet Legacy?
This is the story of a young woman who is finally turning 18 years old and with it, many secrets come forward around her family. When her father is taken by The Elf Lord, an ancient being who has waged an endless crusade on humans, dwarfs, and fae alike; he takes that which stole his greatest treasure. The woman he loved.
A more simple VN experience versus the massive sandbox that is King's Fall, Velvet Legacy is a simple story of Alissa, the main character, rising to save her father who is to be executed in a week's time. The young woman must visit every location, do small side quests, and make choices that will drive the docile and peaceful town into striking against The Elf Lord.
But more importantly, the game will continue our famed Routes System. Alissa will be made into YOUR character and the story will follow two diferent Routes that you pick right as you Enter Episode 1.
Purity Route: Will make Alissa channel every lesson her loving father taught her as she uses her smarts, wiles, and friendship with the town in order to rise up and fight against the Elven Invasion.
Corruption Route: Alissa will use another's lessons as she uses her body to manipulate the town's men and women to follow her command. Though endless favors, Alissa Corrupts herself all for the sake of saving her father.
Episode 0 and 1 will launch in late November and will bring nearly 6 hours of content split between Purity and Corruption.
This will be our first Vignette and one we on BGE hope you all adore! The coming months will be very busy but also, different for fans of King's Fall and Velvet Legacy.
What happens to King's Fall?
Nothing! We still work on it but updates will be more spread out throughout the year. The next update for King's Fall will actually be at the end of December and will bring back Happytown, Mrs Claus, and the NPC's of Christmas as the Hero and Dark Hero fill out their Booty Call list!
Velvet Legacy and King's Fall will be very intertwined next year so fans of both will be VERY happy.
All in all, we cannot wait to discuss the NPC's, the overall flow of this new VN, and also... Show off the Purity and Corruption Routes for Alissa, our new MC! Join us every Sunday as we tease new art, new news, and more!
Thank you all for those that got us this far because Velvet Legacy is only the start!
