✨New character! Meet Megan ✨
And who is this absolutely-not-millennial-at-all person? Well, she's Ryan's sister! And she's clearly Pam's daughter... and has as much gremlin energy as Kyle. Only more scary. Sometimes. Don't mess with her.
But nah, she's actually a piece of bread, just like her brother. 🍞
I'm sharing this one with y'all cause it's been a while I don't give you a lil' treat!
Also, I'm excited to present Megan to you! She's been on my mind for so long and SHE FINALLY EXISTS, YAY xD There will be more coming tomorrow for the paid patooties! 💖
Anyway, ahem. Why's she here today with us? Well, I really didn't think she would appear until way further in the story, but turns out Megan's gonna be a key character at the very beginning instead! I will tell you more about her when this part of the story's settled.
But for now, know that she used to be Matt's bestie before he joined the roleplaying group of the boyos and today she's almost like a sister to Trev and Kyle.
She's bi, just like her mother and his brother in denial- which kind of confirms what seems to be a family trait-.
I ALSO FEEL RELIEVED cause I was really stuck with the beginning, but it finally clicked! (tons of ideas, not convinced by any. Sweat and tears I tell you!!). 🎉

For reference, this is the super simplified palette I tend to use for Cherry Waves' shadows. There are a million ways to go about it, but you have to simplify the process with something as laborious as a comic. This is the one that I think fits better the style and the fastest way for me.
I set the layer to multiply (100%) and put it above the base colors! Ofc it depends on the scene, I might tweak the color or play with the opacity!

When I first read Cherry Waves I was wondering if we would ever get to meet Ryan's sister, because she was mentioned in Matt's character info thingy 😄 I can't wait to see what's awaiting us in the reboot!
