Merch Refresh! Tell us what to make
It has been, oh, 200 years since we added any new designs to You're Wrong About's TeePublic site, and I miss it. It's very obviously time to come up with some new ideas, but that's where you came in: the (frequently listener-designed) shirts and things Mike and I used to add to the store were almost always inspired by little moments or phrases in an episode that struck a chord with listeners. And since I am not listeners, I don't know the answers here. But you do.
If you have any merch ideas, for words or images or both--recent, not so recent, sensical or non--please share them in the comments for this post!! Seeing your discussions and what people remember, and why, will help so much here. And once we have your ideas to explore, we can start making you some cool new stuff.

It would be amazing if somebody could make an illustration of Michael Hobbes' impression of the government shut down during which Clinton started an affair with Lewinsky (but maybe leaving her out of the image). He said that at that moment there were only unpaid staff still around "so interns were walking around with nuclear codes". I would love a summer camp/white house illustration of this!

This week’s episode you ended with “keep breaking the law to the greatest extent you feel comfortable with” and I immediately thought that was shirt worthy (keep breaking the law in big text and the rest of the quote in a tinier text)
I can't remember the exact wording but that as humans we are all just (a bad day? fill in the terrible situation) from being a murderer/killing someone. It sounds brutal but when you think it all the way through it is really one of the most ultimately compassionate things I've heard someone say and believe.

Maybe a beautiful notebook with some YWA-quotes on pages throughout the book would be nice (I have something similar with feminist quotes)

okay, hear me out,,,, ! i have all these big feelings about like, the entire Make A T-Shirt Of That™ industry...? i get really excited when the people/groups i support have a unique item on offer instead; a small record label i like did promotional yo-yos, and then there was the local band i was thrilled to find had brought these bamboo toothbrushes with their band name and slogan printed on the side. it would be really cute to have something like a miniature full color cardboard "sarah's recording closet" diorama, like a little paper dolls kind of thing? or one of those triangle felt pennants for your wall? i'd slam that order now button. maybe not a very easy behind the scenes kind of details answer here, but these sorts of things feel so special to me! i don't have slogan ideas, but the thing i bought in the past that i enjoyed a lot was the rainbow you're wrong about design; i really like to rep the show itself!! the closest i can get to a more specific thing is maybe something about the revelations that were along the lines of how 'nature is indifferent' in some of the survival episodes -- those incredible stories and the contemplation of that concept has become a favorite revisited theme. it would probably be too expensive to get, like, a swiss army knife or an old timey water canteen custom made, but a fan can dream, i guess? anyways, thank you for reading my very long comment! love you!

I promise this is not meant to creep anyone out and I swear I'm not a stalker, but you should make Sarah Marshall Barbies so that when I need to explain something in depth to someone (and no one wants to hear it) I can talk to my Sarah Marshall doll. And maybe when you press her hand she says, "Awww sweetie", "This sounds like a updated Satanic Panic" and "Jesus probably wouldn't be apart of ANY American political party!"
