March-April 2026 UPDATE
Howdy everyone
It's been 2 months since my last major update. Kinda lost track of myself at the end of February with the whole move. And it took me a little longer to readjust to this new environment.
But after the first month and a half living here, I think I'm fully settled in and comfortable. More on that later.
RIGHT NOW THOUGH. Time to update you all on how last month went and my current workload.
Looking back at March I finished around 10 pieces. Even after the move i was able to do the bare minimum. In that same month I also opened my Vgen account for an alternative method for accepting comms. Its kool but I'm not gonna lie, the double transaction fee when sending an invoice is kinda killing it for me. So, we'll see how it goes for now. Thinking of just letting it be available for sketch comms considering it's a new option from me again (sort of). Still not verified but soon.
Speaking of Comms, I'm close to being halfway done with my current queue and will slowly accept more as time goes on. Maybe I'll open again when I finish my Vgen comms.
Requests are going well from last month to now. Rotations are still happening every month since it's still a little out of whack but it's no problem. I just apologies for the multiple pings at the start of every month. If anyone wants to pitch in for the single slot rotation for one month to get all of them back on track, that would be nice.
Now for my Life Situation.
As stated numerous times, I did move and now I'm living in a new house away from family but with new individuals. The Main Renter who I'm acquainted with and the problematic roommates. They have yet to move out and so it's still very uncomfortable to be outside my room sometimes. However, the day before I actually did meet the Homeowners who are allowing all 3 parties to rent this home. They were a couple of hard-asses but still able to be reasoned with and they said they did like me compared to these current bad roommates. The condition to stay on their good side is to spend some time taking care of the front and back yard. Some manual labor will do me good.
The other big thing tho, after signing the renter's contract is that my rent for each month is now even lower because I'm just a single individual that's living here. That's a big deal for me because finally, for the first time ever, my Patreon earnings now cover my entire rent cost. I'm very pleased, but that doesn't mean I'm going to slack off on client work. I just now finally have the opportunity to plan out my own projects for the Patreon while making comm money on the side. So TLDR, less comm work in the near future and more personal projects. We'll see tho because I actually do enjoy making stuff for people as my artist work ethic. I just know my prices are a little egregious. Which brings me to my final thing to mention; the push to get people to join the Patreon with the promise to lower my prices. I wanna give more people a chance to afford a comm from me. Had around 15 new people joined and I'm very grateful for that. Just 35 more folks and I'll update my prices (tell your Friends).
That's been the gist of the past month. Strange new environment with some bright opportunities. I'll let everyone know if something major changes. But for now, I'm here, I'm chilling, and I'm still forever grateful for everyone here that's been sticking around. Thank You <3
