Now let's talk about the future of Bad Memories (and to a degree WS' as well):
As many of you know, BM's main story is almost done. There will be one more major story update before the release of v1.0, and before you ask, no there's no eta yet.

The plan is first and foremost finishing the main story as mentioned, but there are some older scenes that I never really finished (usually because of time constrains or pressure), so I'll have a look at those again and probably add some stuff here and there.
There are also some old scenes that could really use a rework. Some of those are noticeably... old. Meaning a lot lower quality than the rest of the game, so I'll likely redo some completely.
Depending on the amount of work on all the mentioned, I might end up splitting the update into two, with one being the finished story (v0.99) and the other the updated old stuff, but that's something I can only really tell once I'm done with the main story and have a closer look at the old scenes.

As some of you might've noticed, I removed the Menu entry for Rachel's Story in the last update (Steam beta & itch only), that's because I don't think I really want to add it anymore. To be clear it'll not really add much to the game, it would be mostly rehashes of some scenes already in the game with nothing but a different perspective (they're still the same scenes). I don't know why I ever thought this whole thing was a good idea, but there are a few scenes that I have in mind that I could add to the gallery as a special (Maggy and Rachel "meeting" before MC arrives in town for example).

So what happens after the main story is done?
As I've already mentioned in other posts, the game won't just stop after the main story is done. Yes, there will be an ending and it'll be different depending on your choices in game, but after that the game will switch to a sort of sandbox mode where you can roam around freely and go on with your in-game life, but to make it perfectly clear: this mode won't be anything life-changing, it's just there to give players who want more exactly that.
There will be repeatable scenes with each of the characters, a few random scenes that can happen every now and then, and maybe some more hidden extras, but that's it.
There's a possibility that I'll add more to this specific mode in the future, but I should mention here that everything that happens after the ending screen is a bonus. I'll consider the game itself finished without it and I'll probably start working on another project before adding more to it.

So what's next?
Well, probably I'll take a nice little break after BM is done and before I start working on anything else.
Most likely I'll start working on the new project for a bit before I go back to WS. I need to do some more prototyping for the new game's gameplay, to see what works best, but don't worry if you're a WS fan, I'll definitely go back to it before I release anything new. I recently played it a little and I already wanted to go back into it :D
