🩺 Lifelines Update — Version 0.6.4

The Lifelines download has been updated! If you’re still using the launch files, this release brings together the fixes and improvements below. 💙

👓 Prescription glasses fix

Fixed an error that prevented “Register current frames” from working. Lifelines can now correctly read your Sim’s current glasses and check whether they’re wearing their registered prescription pair.

If registration failed before, wear your chosen glasses and select Register current frames again after updating.

🩹 Better injury recovery moodlets

Treated injuries now count as supported recovery instead of continuing to show untreated injury pain. Injuries also no longer trigger the general “Under the Weather” moodlet on top of their own soreness.

Existing treated injuries benefit from this change—no repeat appointment needed! Healing and rehabilitation still take time, and untreated injuries, overexertion setbacks, or separate illnesses can still cause negative moodlets.

📱 Missing phone app fix

Updated how Lifelines adds itself to the phone menu to address cases where the script loaded but the app didn’t appear.

🛡️ ModGuard compatibility fix

Corrected the temporary health-record filename that triggered a ModGuard alert during saving. This fix is included in the updated download, and you can keep ModGuard enabled.

⚙️ Optional fatal medical outcomes

For players who want higher-stakes health stories, Lifelines includes an optional fatal-outcomes setting.

Find it under Phone → Lifelines → a health record → Health settings → Fatal medical outcomes.

It is OFF by default. When enabled, heart attacks, severe COPD emergencies, and severe high-glucose emergencies can be fatal for teen-and-older Sims. Prompt hospital treatment lowers the risk, while delays increase it. Treatment does not guarantee survival.

Other conditions do not directly cause death through this feature. Leave it off if you prefer playing without Lifelines-related deaths. Turning it off cannot undo a death that has already occurred.

💊 A quick prescription reminder

Lifelines treatments are managed through the app not physical medicine objects in your inventory.

Go to Prescriptions and care → Refill → Follow care plan. New prescriptions start without supplies, and care-plan uses are spaced 12 Sim-hours apart.

📥 How to update

1. Close your game.

2. Remove your previous Lifelines.package and Lifelines.ts4script.

3. Extract and install the new versions of both files in your Mods folder.

4. Keep Lifelines_Data.json—it contains your health records!

• lifelines.health opens the health panel directly.

• lifelines.phone_status checks phone-app registration.

• lifelines.status shows your loaded version—it should say 0.6.4-alpha.
