I wasn't even subscribed when I read this. I realized I had to be a member to comment, so I upgraded to a yearly subscription just so I could write this and show you some support. That's how strongly I feel about it. I've been playing The Sims since the original game came out. I was in my last year of elementary school then, and I'm almost 36 now, so I've literally been part of this community for 25 years. And I swear, the Sims community has become exhausting. I don't know every detail of every controversy people have ever had with you, and honestly, I don't need to. People are allowed to dislike you. They're allowed to disagree with things you've done. They can hate that you use AI. They can decide they don't want to download your mods anymore. Fine. That's how being on the internet works. But death threats? Joking about somebody's miscarriages? Organizing mass reports? Accusing someone of putting malware on people's computers or stealing their information without actually providing evidence? At that point, what are we even doing? And since AI seems to be such a huge part of the outrage around you, I'll say this too: I genuinely do not care if you use AI. It's 2026. AI exists. It's not disappearing because someone has decided they're morally superior for refusing to use it. I've actually been exploring making Sims mods myself with the help of AI. If I end up doing it, I'm going to use AI too. And I really don't care what anybody has to say about that. If you don't like AI, don't use it. If you don't want to download mods that were made with AI, don't download them. There are thousands of creators. Find someone else whose work aligns with what you want and go enjoy your game. I just don't understand what people think they're gaining from turning every personal disagreement into a moral crusade. You don't get a gold star for refusing to use AI. Nobody becomes a better person because they spent their afternoon trying to destroy a Sims creator over it. Like... it's The Sims. I want to build my little houses, spend six hours making one Sim, download an irresponsible amount of CC, open my game after an update and discover that half of it is broken, and enjoy myself. 😂 And yes, I'm still going to use your mods. I don't care if AI helped you make them. If they work, I like them, and they make my game more enjoyable, that's pretty much where my concern ends. I wish more people in this community understood that you can simply not engage with something you don't like. You can criticize somebody and then move on with your life. You don't have to investigate them, punish them, rally people against them, or turn their personal tragedies into entertainment. There is a massive difference between criticism and deciding that because you dislike someone, they deserve whatever you throw at them. So yes, I literally bought a yearly subscription to leave this comment because I wanted at least one more person in here saying: this has gone way too far. Leave people alone and play the damn game.
