Updated City of Arches and New 5e Monster Database
Friends! As we close in on the end of 2023 I have two new things for you!
First, the City of Arches city sourcebook has been updated! It's now 115 pages and includes the following updates:
Expanded "Using the City of Arches" section
History of the City of Arches
More GM tips sections (the gray boxes)
Location summaries, secrets and clues, and random encounters for every biome
Expanded random encounters for the upper city
New Cliffs of the Dead biome
New Endless Warrens biome
New Vaults of the Nameless King biome
Second, I have a new stand-alone 5e Artisanal Monster Database for you! It lets you search, sort, and filter monsters from Kobold Press and Level Up Advanced 5e – over 2,000 monsters! You can link directly, copy the HTML, or copy the Markdown version into your notes app of choice. You can also download the whole thing and run it on your own server or right off your local machine through a web browser!

Watched you on twitch downloading the database - thanks, and that is a great idea. great stuff - perfect amount of info for me as the dm, shows me only the important things! love it! small problem, when i unzip the files, all of the NPC files show as errors. error 0x 80070057: the parameter is incorrect. and they do not work in the downloaded database.

Wow that is an amazing resource! I'm curious if you have a spot to send errors we find? This looks like an error to me. For the creature "Aboleth, Nihilith" in the speed line it says "Speed: hover True ft. walk 10 ft. swim 40 ft. fly 50 ft." I was wondering if "True" is an error and it is supposed to have a distance in there? Also, in many spots it seems to use the word "nihileth" but the name at the top says "Nihilith" then at the bottom the "Psychic Drain" feature uses "Aboleth" instead of nihilith or nihileth which seems kind of weird. Maybe some of those are that way in the original stat block. But wow one of the first ones I looked at looks like an awesome monster!
