September 2021 Sly Flourish Patreon Newsletter
Welcome to the Sly Flourish Patreon newsletter for September 2021!
As a reminder, your patronage gives you access to the following perks:
This month I'm hard at work on the upcoming Kickstarter for the Lazy DM's Companion, a book of guidelines and inspiration to help DMs run great D&D games. You're seeing the first run of this material in the Adventure Generators and Uncovered Secrets which will be fully edited and formatted in the style of Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master and the Lazy DM's Workbook along with brand new art and maps.
As a patron, I want to give you the first look at the preview of the Lazy DM's Companion!
The Kickstarter will launch on September 28th and go until October 28th. Beyond the release of the Lazy DM's Companion, this will also be the first time I publish Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master and the Lazy DM's Workbook in an off-set print instead of print on demand. This results in higher quality versions of the books including a hardcover version of Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master and a spiral-bound version of the Lazy DM's Workbook along with a perfect-bound version of the Lazy DM's Companion. It will be quite the set!
This month Uncovered Secrets also gained five new guidelines! These include:
Quick Tricks for Lazy DMs
Running Single-Session Games
Playing RPGs Online
Teaching New Players
Inspirational Material
Thanks to your support I've continued to upgrade the quality of my YouTube / Streaming setup. You can see the results in the video previews I post here on Patreon and the Sly Flourish YouTube channel.
The Sly Flourish patron questions I asked for in this post are outstanding and leading to a lot of great topics for Lazy DM Tip videos and conversation pieces on the Lazy D&D Talk Show.
As always, thank you so much for your support!

Exciting news, really looking forward to the campaign. Have loved what I have seen so far from Uncovered Secrets & Adventure Generator.
Thanks for the update, Mike. Excited to see the finished product and potential stretch goals from the Kickstarter, if any. I might have to upgrade my Lazy DM collection with the new bindings. I recommended "Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master" to a 20 year veteran DM friend that probably is the opposite of a Lazy DM, and he gushed with praise for it and said he plans to integrate Secrets and Clues into his prep routine.
Thank you! I think we're going to go sans-stretch goals on this one. The whole off-set printing angle is going to be hard enough and the Companion itself is going to be really solid out of the funding gate.
