Well, guess we won't have to time out the 4 seconds manually then.
Pretty sure now is the time....to wait! PyroJack put it pretty succintly, pressing the button now will only give the booby an excuse to either just turn around and follow after us or just pass through the barrier when it finishes. This way, if we wait, it'll have to waste time going back round the loop if it wants to get us again or risk the electro-barrier.

We can see the Boobie's exact location on the monitor; if we wait for it, then that gives a two second delay for the wall to arm and activate (A point I should have understood in the beginning, but I am not a bright man). Running past NOW means it will have time to finish the loop and grab Cassandra before she reaches the door, or just turn around and grab her. Timing the wall means even if the Boobie isn't fried, it will still need to loop back around and chase Cassandra, so it buys her time.
This is very clearly what I expected out of the Button pressing scenario. xD
let's have the boogie committed to it's loop, push and run. Best chance. At worst, it will turn around and need more time to actually get to us, allowing us to get through the door.
