Thinking about it, if this is a charging port it might give our suit some electrical power (maybe for one use) which we can use to shock one of the two boogies in the other room that way we can get past them if we can't sneak (just a theory)
It’s possible. At the very least, we will know what this thing does.
There's still a boogie patrolling the hall AND thw boogie over the exit from the vent might be gone. Patience is king and not saying Yolo is queen X3
hey remember how the boogies started? let's not
I mean, my first instinct is "maybe don't put your arm in someplace small in hostile territory," but unless there was another door out of those barracks, we're out of options. Fuck it, let's go.
Hmmm...I WONDER if this has anything to do with the temperature in the other room! We know that boogies freeze in colder temperatures, so maybe this will lower it?? Worth a try???
If it did, shouldn't it have a thermostat or something?
I've got no idea. It does not look like the Boogie-Dispenser in that other image linked last time, but then we are not in that particular corridor either. So who knows.
..... wait. I think that might be a "Charging Port" for the big guy. He's got BATTERIES on his back after all.... But at this point... We're already gonna fail regardless so we might as well give it a go and see what happens. =.=
Hmm..."Don't stick your hand in random holes!" But my Silent Hill senses are tingling!! Plus I really don't think there's a point trying to go back to the vent, the other booby has or will have gone back to its station, it'll just drop on us and cover us in goop again. I feel like we got no other option.
For all we know we could just be looping back around to reset that room and take the room with the two boogies in a more silent approach now that we know what’s ahead
This feels like a raw 50/50, unless there's something here that's going over everybody's heads
Question: Given that the button to neutralize the boogie in Part 4 was red, presumably because it was bad for them, is it reasonable to assume that something coloured green would preaumably be to the benefit of the boogies and drones? Also, how closely can we hear the big guy?
I don't reckon we'll get a straight answer, but it's a good thing to bring up regardless.
This could be a very, VERY bad idea... But I'm willing to vote reaching in. This is the first time we've encountered something green on the ship. Green can be connected to a number of positive details; recharge, health, an extra life, nutrients... Yes, I know I'm going off of video game logic, but this *could* be a means to restore a life. And if it's not, that's on me.
At this rate I feel like we may as well give it a shot, going back to the vent won't work if the other boogie returns to its spot, which I suspect it will have done by the time we get back into the vent.
Interestingly, it does show up on the wall panel in the last image, also green.
Okay so we DIDN'T die, thank god. But now there's this...so we stick our arm in and potentially get stuck/have some other bad thing happen, oooor keep going? I just dunno, there's no real indication as to whether or not this is a good or bad thing. There's the whole thing with curiosity and cats, and maybe we should move along while we can still capitalize on the investigating boobie from earlier being distracted... /But./ The arrows on the monitor in the last leg of the journey indicated the possibility of the booby going back to its post, and it has been mentioned it doesn't take them very long to go back to their posts when there's nothing to find. So maybe continuing towards the vent will just net us another game over at this point. Just not sure what to make of it.
My money’s on that this might be a recharge station for big guy. If that’s the case, maybe there’s a chance that we might be able to shut him down for good?
It’s possible this might be a trap to snag people for the camera to capture
If people reaches into it? That seems a bit specific. It could be a recharge station for big guy? He does seem to be running on batteries after all.
How quick woukd interacting with this thing be? If it takes a bit tbe camera could easily catch us
Of course Cassandra intends to make her investigation brief. Though I can't reassure you anything beyond that.
If we had more lives, I would be all game to be curious. However, the fact this facility does have ways to deactivate their own security, its a possibility it could be beneficial.
I mean we might as well see what it does for future reference.
