Mildly worried that the reflection on the floor might somehow alert it, but there is no sensible way going the other way makes sense. Though, this could be an introduction to a recurring type of problem we'll have to solve later.

There is the chance it turns around mid-way in that square, no guarantee it'll follow through a full patrol.. though as drones it might not occur to them to check their back

It's not a hard choice you grasshoppers! Follow the immediate threat from a distance so you don't get fucked by hidden traps or if he turns around. When I see the local homeless man with a knife I keep him within my line of sight so I know he can't sneak up on me and take my kidneys!

I mean, if we go the other way there's a solid chance of just bumping into it from the front this time. Seems like the obvious pick is to follow.

Along the other path, it'll loop to run into the drone's path from the side. I don't think its peripheral vision will reach all the way to the end if it stays on that end, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does somehow. I vote keeping behind it.

Ey! A minimap! Well assuming this is the lone patroller in this path, it will move in a circle around this square, follow from behind and then head out when its past the exit door
