When you Google "Josh Boerman Who Wants to be a Millionaire", the sixth result is a picture of Young Sheldon and I think that tells us a lot about Society.
AJ was raised by Ompaloomas confirmed
"Elaborate tech to track all the participants and set of squibs" oh you are in luck because the person who made those is actually another youtuber named William Osman and a team he put together. He made a video about the whole process https://www.youtube.com/live/hdt18p-VMmQ

I would love to hear you discuss the .Michael Moore documentaries/fame from our generation.
Late to this but Mr Beast gives me No-Face from Spirited Away vibes.
I've been thinking about Mr Beast since learning about him from this episode. Grading on a scale is he really that bad? He's not as bad as Oprah ... yet. When I was in middle school Jack Ass were the major influencers. Is that better? It's completely understandable and also heart warming that kids would idealize a saint who wants to lift up the struggling and bring people together. Hopefully they outgrow the demagogue but keep the solidarity (Have you heard about Andrew Tate and his influence on young people? That's WAY more depressing)
I agree he should be criticized and I don't actually think he's a saint. That's just how his fans see him. But Oprah has been giving away stuff for years and there's been shows like Exteam Makeover Home Edition. I think Mr. Beast's popularity is more of a lateral move than a sing of countiued decline
Extreme makeover home edition would be a great pre 2008 version of this.
Re: dubbing, Youtube has actually added a feature for alternative audio tracks on a single video by now. It's very recent, I think I first noticed it about a month ago in the then-latest video from Chubbyemu, who had added Spanish and Portuguese tracks. And looking up MrBeasts latest video, it seems he is also using this feature by now. Makes me wonder if his production company was a driving force behind implementing it, being the largest channel
*sticks out bottom lip and scuffs toe on ground* "I wanna get picked up and swung around by Terrry Crews..."
I'm not sure if it's the naked consumerism or how tacky yet effective it is that's more terrifying.
One thing the ByBaal definitely got right is the disdain for performative charity.
How many videos before one-upmanship forces St. Jimmy to bring about full communism
He could probably be recruited into politics as a FDR type. What better way to get love and attention by giving stuff away
Looking forward to the Mr Beast workhouses of the 2030's.
i briefly went looking for this josh clip w/ terry crews but it seems who wants to be a millionaire is just straight up not available on streaming at all, so the only evidence i could find was a reference to josh's name and the number of the episode he was in (s13 e88) on the wiki
Just texted Brian but barely into this episode and it triggered a memory of this dude's channel. I went to college with him. https://youtube.com/@TroyBlack
oh this guy is cool
no more episode download link? 🥺
Hmm, we can see it on the app, and in browser if we click on the ellipsis next to the pin at the bottom of the post, download is there. if that doesn't work, then that must be a problem with Patreon's interface. contact their customer support and that should be able to help.
