71 - Max Payne 2, The Fall of Max Payne

The lads dive deep into the gaping hole at the heart of Noir York City as they brave the nauseating, bullet-ridden world of Remedy’s Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. Topics include the Matrix-ization of video games, the tenets of Sam Lake’s storytelling, and the bafflingly acclaimed legacy of the pills and simile-addicted Maximilian Payne.

After listening to this and the aw1 podcast, im getting increasingly curious about what you would think of alan wake 2, although as its partually incomplete (theres still 2 dlcs to be made for it and the NG+ update effectly gives the game a actual ending)

I want to DUMP games on you for to play after you swam through this trash water, but I don't want to hurt you. I'll just say this was a good review.

I love A.J.’s Sondheim references! Now I am imagining that description of the storytelling in this game with the character… Etc. with the chords underneath like the end of Sunday in the Park with George…

I feel like every one of this guy’s games are just desperately trying to be a different Konami game

I am only considering an AMC+ subscription so I can get my sweet, sweet Halt & Catch Fire fix since they took it off Netflix

Once met a guy who told me he was addicted to similies. I asked, "What's that like?"
