68 - Left Behind The Movie 2000
The lads start 2023 off right by hopping aboard an adulterous plane and flying straight into the Rapture as they cover the disastrous Kirk Cameron vehicle: Left Behind: The Movie (2000).
Topics include the origins of the Tribulation, the clientele of leather bars, and the surprising endurance of the concept that, one day, the Lord will strike Christians nude and yeet them into Heaven.

If at all curious RAHeinlein has a novel about the Rapture (Job: A comedy of justice) & it was one of my first encounters with positively portrayed bisexual men in media
Kept expecting the Hippo to trigger AJ's Equangle or Hippogon
The question of whether it damns one to presume one's salvation & boast it IS very much of the cleft in Western Christianity between Catholics & Heretics; notably the knowability of the divine mind
MORE LIKE PHALLUS TICKLE
As a 13ish year old(2004 maybe?), I got experience a Kirk Cameron double feature at the Calvin Seminary with a bunch of seminary students(including my dad). I don’t remember much of these movies but did enjoy both the distain and utter dismissal of these movies from a group of seminary students ripping the theology of these movies to shreds. That bit sticks with me.
I would like to hear your thoughts on Kirk Cameron Saves Christmas, because I don't understand anything about the movie. The first time I heard about it and didn't know who Cameron is, I honestly thought it was a weird joke.
the best film about the rapture is phil tibbets MAD GOD
What is this…
A leather bar?
I just want to shout out AJ and Brian for landing that Leather Bar plane in perfect sync
Just by describing the plot everyone colectively sounded like they were having a psychotic break. (But in a wonderfully entertaining manner.)
i see where aj gets it from wow
AJ, your dad is excellent! Tell him he did an excellent job. Would you have him on an episode about something, or would that be too weird?
I think recording for three hours might be a bit too much for my dad (to say nothing of all the Goku Inflation) but I might ask him to do another commercial somewhere down the line!
I hate to suggest a book but you have to look at the Christ clone trilogy which left behind ripped off for the stuff they didn’t get from thief it has army of Jewish psychics and the Antichrist is cloned from the shroud of turin
A.J., how familiar is your father with Phoenix Wright?
Oh boy, the mention of the Adventures in Odyssey Bible unlocked a deep memory. I wasn't even raised evangelical, so I'm not sure why I was given that.
**Hell** yeah!
LFG!
Holy shit I did not know that Jerry Jenkins was from Kalamazoo. That's wild to me that *my* people are responsible for the Left Behind monstrosity
