53 - Alien (feat. Jeff Ronan)
Jeff Ronan (And Almost Starring…) joins the lads on the deck of the Nostromo as they battle xenomorphs and the specter of capitalism in Ridley Scott’s 1979 horror masterwork: Alien. Topics include H.R. Giger’s uncannily horny designs, Ripley’s place amongst the greatest action heroes of all time, and the pros and cons of bringing a cat to an alien fight.

Hello if anyone is out there this far back in the archives can someone tell me what the background music is during the mid-show ad break?? It’s unlocking something in my distant memory but I can’t place it lol
I definitely think that Prometheus and Covenant entirely miss the point of Alien and what made Alien work.... Cant be said in the interview but can be said in retrospect... Because of AVP has proper Aliens, David is proper AI, it takes him all that time all those resources to only make a half assed version of an already existing thing.
The ship isn't the size of a city, it's a space tugboat towing an ore refinery between systems. You can make out the ship as distinct from the refinery in some of the shots
The events of this movie would delay Weyland Yutani's Maple Bacon Breakfast Log for several years.
That's my favorite beach in San Diego, Brian, thanks for the shoutout
