It might say more about me than I want it to, but I enjoyed the Paul Rivere episode as a kid and I think there is a really neat way you can take a piece of pop culture historiography (think Im using that right there) and use it to talk about real history and get nitty gritty with the facts in a fun way. Robin Hood and feudalism, 13 Ronin and the Shogunate, The Jubglebook and British colonialism, the 1917 Christmas football game and the horrors of military command structures and post war propaganda. Ya know, fun stuff!
A few thoughts on the Wod Fam Choc Sod... 1) as a Michigander, there if this is in Ohio, there is no soda, only pop 2) Is this just an even worse name for a chocolate egg cream?
