29 - Alan Wake (feat. Jack Gilbert)
My name is Alan Wake. I’m a writer. Three podcasters and their friend, Jack Horton Gilbert, played through my story and talked about it for three hours. What followed was wild and dark and weird, even by my standards. Stephen King once said, “My wife and kids won’t touch a pizza with anchovies on it. But I like anchovies.“* I think about that all the time.

I love the "Into the Woods" stinger bit so much. Doesn't stop being funny each of the 20 times it's done in this episode. I cackled each and every time.
Last year, after relistening to this episode, I played through *most* of this game, since I'd gotten it in a Steam sale years ago. But I had to stop because this game genuinely GAVE ME chronic motion sickness. Didn't have any history of it before. I got so nauseated I *physically* couldn't keep playing, and I STAYED nauseated for WEEKS afterwards. 0/10 playing experience
Love in the time of caldera
On this being worse then Stephen King writing. The story this most reminds me of is 'The Langoliers'. Which has a detective writer (among several main characters) stuck in a horror, time travel/altered reality story. And......not the best story.
Coming back to this post aw2 to post this tiktok that played in my head when you did the opening speech https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeYAgQmR/
So when are you guys doing Deadly Premonition?
The average New Mexico man monologue was incredible
To me this game felt like someone trying to make silent hill 2 who did not understand why silent hill 2 is good. It felt like someone making a YouTube video about silent hill 2
Damn when did the Tiniest Country Boy become Irish?
The Tiniest Country Boy has always been Irish but his accent only comes out when he gets excited about trains.
