I know I am late to the party. I watched the first minutes of the first season's first introduction video to Mr.Beast games, the 2000 contestant. I didn't get past the first challenge. It was the 10k pound "balls" pulling challenge. It should have been spectacular in the physical world, but felt bizzarre, uncanny Fake. In the night it hit me. It is a minecraft video in real life. It is shot and structured just like a minecraft challenge. We first see the 5 balls full on flat like health bars, seeing the first three teams succeed. Then we zoom on to the remaining teams. We show a cam and a fitting one-liner of a contestant of the succeeding team, and then a cam and a reaction one-liner of the losing team. All the bizarre shots would work as a minecraft video. The balls would work to represent something "heavy" in minecraft. In the real world it looks fake. They could have put something we know is heavy underneath, like a BusmAnd they could have spray-painted the team colors on it for christ's sake.

I feel like part of why he yells so much is because when he tries to speak normally he sounds like homestar runner

Beast week came slightly too early. That legal complaint is wild.

The more I learn about Mr Beast the more I dislike him. The more I think about his content the more I realize what a waste of resources and attention it is. Just to satisfy the ego of this uneducated shallow man that lacks any self awareness. I can only imagine how soul crushing it is to watch it when you actually realize how dystopian and problematic his work is.

The more I hear, the more Mr Beast's ecosystem seems to resemble Dethklok within the lore of the show. The popularity begets itself despite the actual people involved being insecure morons. Except in this case, the music fucking sucks and the violence isn't a joke

I'm so glad my NC state taxes could support Jimmy. So glad. Nevermind that the Cape Fear River is stuffed with PFAS. 🫡

Fascinating experience for me was discovering that Josh and Anne are married by way of discussing Mr Beast’s grippers.

Interesting to hear the reaction to Sue on Beast Games. Many survivor fans also don't like Sue, because she's MAGA.

I think you made a Taskmaster comparison in the first season. With the contestant interviews popping up this week for TM, it strikes me just how many easy misses this show makes. Taskmaster works because 1) they playtest the hell out of everything, 2) playtesting leads good directors to understand what they need to film and editors to know how to cut it, and 3) when things don't work they lean into it with humility. Yeah, it's a bit apples to oranges because TM is also non-elimination, but I think Jimmy's titanic ego fundamentally won't countenance the things that make a challenge-based show work. They've clearly got talent below-the-line in production, but Jimmy wouldn't allow above-the-line folks the control they need (especially over HIM as a castmember) to make it succeed.

Guys, we have to stop using the word "mogging". I'm in my 40s, and I'm adaptable to change as my kid is about to turn 13. But let's just not make incel bullshit terms part of the lexicon. I just can't. We're all better than that. Also, love the show, and thanks to you guys and Joe for turning me on to Clair Obscur. Fucking phenomenal.

i think whenever jimmy says “generational wealth” he’s trying to say “once in a generation amount of money”

S
Skotterbaux · April 8, 2026

I'm probably overthinking it, but surely it can't be a coincidence that the two jerseys most prominent on Jimmy's promo/poster involve the numbers 14 and 88 🤦

Josh has been soft launching a foot fetish on the podcast recently and idk how to feel about that

The only reason this is the most-watched nonfiction on prime is because I can’t get Patagonia’s numbers up there by myself

Jimmy's sadistic streak is so fascinating to me. It seems like the only thing other than numbers going up that gives him genuine pleasure. You can imagine the Saudis taking him out to hunt the most dangerous game and then getting freaked out when he's a little too into it

Early in the pod where y'all mention that he's plateaued on YouTube and has started branding out reminded me of something from The Peter Principle. Peter suggested that when someone reaches the top of the organization and is still competent, there is a drive to find a new pyramid to start climbing. It is there that the individual can finally find their incompetence level. We can only hope.

I just got done with the kill the computer episode that preceded and I was about to go to sleep but you just had to drop it now didn't you Although I guess it makes sense if you're doing it for your presumably massive Saudi audience
